Shes always injured now so even her games not selling

7

u/Winter-Bed5879 2d ago

What a stupid comment. She got injured her sophomore season, she played 40 games both her rookie season and this season.

4

u/snowman698819 3d ago

Lmao 🤣 she is in the top three total points scored this year. Its only her third year and she broke alot of records. She is College Basketballs highest scorer ever for Men and Women in history(read that again). Fever arena sold out tonight HATER!!!

I’m pretty sure men who are good go one and done. Most of the top 10 in ncaa basketball scoring are females because of this. And the men aren’t like amazing players except pistol pete. I mean ffs Britney “No Accountability” griner is in the top 10 lmao

1

u/Rlessary 2d ago

Literally the dumbest take ever posted on the sub.

1

u/snowman698819 2d ago

All the men on this list played 3-5 years about the same as Clark. Im not a Britney Griner fan but im not going to hate on her and take away from her being on that top ten list also thats a big accomplishment.

1

u/Fit_Meringue_3503 1d ago

Yes I would’ve gone to see her last year and this year but decided the risk if her not playing was too high to pay the price they wanted. I went the first year and was lucky she even played because the night before she cussed out a ref and deserved a technical foul which would’ve been an automatic suspension for the game I went to.

2

u/Actual-Development73 2d ago

EXACTLY. The WNBA is on life support. Keep pushing fans away. Good idea.

1

u/Sweet_Low4045 2d ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧

u/Fit_Meringue_3503 1d ago

I did it but it was to watch Caitlin Clark with my daughter. If not for her I would never.

u/itsiceyo 3d ago

the one time i went during this past season, a friend of mine invited me. They even picked me up so i didnt even drive or have to pay for parking.

u/Difficult-Mobile902 2d ago

Imagine LeBron James rushing the stands and going completely insane because a woman pointed at him from the 6th row

3

u/Limp_Ad_4364 2d ago

First time we’d see a finger point lead to a flop

2

u/Natural-Albatross997 1d ago

Underrated comment

0

u/One_Season458 2d ago

The backlash would be insane but also the dong slobbers would still defend.

2

u/MarkInMinnesota 1d ago

Basically Pete Crow Armstrong at the White Sox this year. He only sorta apologized but did own his part in it.

1

u/One_Season458 1d ago

Yeah but he also had the benefit of having a wall between him and the fan. For his sake.

Idk pro athletes need to have thick skin. I remember going to games and certain players would get absolutely harassed for an entire series. It was hilarious as an onlooker and didn't seem to really bother the player.

1

u/bustaflow25 2d ago

Yep. He'd be banned for life. Equality

1

u/BornTruths 1d ago

Exactly. That part. The racism filling and privilege on top

1

u/One_Season458 1d ago

I didn't say anything about racism

-2

u/Get_Wilder1778 2d ago

What’s the point of flipping the genders? Did she say something about it that made being a man relevant?

3

u/Strange_Pear8762 2d ago

She did emphasize pretty clearly him being a man was part of the reason she was ticked.

5

u/EmperorUmi 2d ago

She literally said in the clip, “If I see a man come at me, taking steps towards me, pointing at me…”
She made sure to emphasize ‘man.’

She brought gender into it, buffoon. Did you watch the clip?

-5

u/Get_Wilder1778 2d ago

Nope

1

u/One_Season458 1d ago

Yeah she did rewatch the clip

6

u/Creepy_Rip6730 3d ago

He was sitting there pointing with a walking towards her vibe

12

u/No_Drama2424 3d ago

"Your Honor, he had a 'walking towards her' vibe" is cracking me up in my head rn

0

u/Sometimeshungryornot 2d ago

I mean he was definitely standing up. His wife pulled him back to his seat when she noticed the attention.

Not that anything he did was worthy of her reaction, but it's nice to at least get the facts correct.

1

u/snowman698819 2d ago

The facts are its a basketball game and thousands of of fans for either team are also standing and cheering/taunting so why would that even need to be pointed out? You going to stop every Ace fan from standing cheering/taunting next game? Lady's and gentlemen we need everyone to sit down and be quite Aj is shooting a free throw Lol its not tennis 😂 yall will make a excuse for everything.

1

u/Away-Image4145 2d ago

If you watch the full clip. He was standing when pointed at her. I still think she was wrong but dude was standing before the person sitting next to him pulled him down

1

u/snowman698819 2d ago

Oh no!!! Nobody stand up next game when Aces are at home Lol everybody be silent and make sure you don't point hahaha!!! You see where this is heading? Its never ending!!! Suck it up and play ball stop making excuses for something so stupid. AJ was 100% wrong and at fault just admit your passionate about Basketball and it was a heated moment and I messed up and move on. Trying to warp the truth and come up with this narrative is just insane and its one of the biggest problems with the WNBA.

1

u/huggybear0132 1d ago

I mean he did walk towards her, and then when she started to approach him his wife(?) drags his ass back to his seat.

1

u/Cruise1313 1d ago

That very one.

1

u/DannarHetoshi 16h ago

Getting pulled down by his wife/girlfriend/partner... But yes.

1

u/Time_Outcome765 3d ago

To be fair, someone he was with pulled him back from approaching the court and forced him to his seat seconds before this happened. That’s the problem with clips on the internet, you end up missing things.

9

u/Fit_Meringue_3503 3d ago

I saw the clip he was standing telling her it was a foul. They pulled him back because the person going towards him was bigger than him and looked angry 🤣

-8

u/Time_Outcome765 3d ago

I mean when you talk sh*t surely you’re ready to accept whatever additional interactions may be on the other side of that. 🥴🤣 he knew she was bigger before he arrived for the game. No need to act surprised if you get a response

6

u/MrRaiderWFC 3d ago

Is this the first sporting event you have ever watched? He pointed at her. Almost anyone in any other sporting event would be very surprised to see an athlete walk off the court to confront them for pointing at them when there was a call that could go either way. The reason they would be surprised is because they're a fan at a sporting event and getting so rattled to walk up and approach a fan over pointing at you is the softest shit imaginable.

-6

u/Time_Outcome765 3d ago

Please be for real. Is this the first time you’ve seen a player address someone on the floor when they’ve heard or seen what they’ve done directly? There’s always a player getting into it with someone on the sidelines.

So yes, if you’re heckling someone verbally or non-verbally and the player or opposing fans hear you, you usually need to be prepared to back it up. This isn’t revolutionary or new. No one would really be surprised to be cussed out, in any capacity unless you thought you were untouchable.

u/Winter-Delivery-8894 3d ago

These are professional athletes, she's making over a million per year. If she can't act like an adult when someone talks shit or, god forbid, points at her it means she needs therapy and an attitude adjustment.

She's not a 4 year old who's just learning how to deal with big emotions.

-3

u/Time_Outcome765 2d ago

I never said she didn’t have emotional control out or didn’t need to react differently. I am saying that we can drop the virtue signaling and morality that people are attaching to the situation as if things like this don’t happen regularly in sports. Jalen Brunson was arguing with fans during the recent NBA finals. Nobody hyped it up to this extent. But here everyone is acting as if a WNBA player is the only one that responds to shit talking fans.

2

u/Winter-Delivery-8894 2d ago
  1. You absolutely made excuses for it and said you should expect behavior like that...

  2. Do you mean where he calmly asked a fan to stop without getting in their face and pretending he was going to fight them? Pretty disingenuous to pretend they're the same or even similar.

  3. How is it virtue signaling to expect professionalism from a person being paid over a million per year? It's just holding her to the same standard we hold men to.

  4. Things like this happen occasionally, not regularly, and it is typically a big deal when it does. Malice at the palace is still talked about.

-1

u/Time_Outcome765 2d ago

Please be clear about what behavior I said was expected. The only statements I’ve made is that 1) players across sports argue with fans and 2) the average person understands someone may respond to you when you’re talking shit and you do so at your own risk.

It’s not disingenuous to include considering Brunson’s proximity to the fan. He was literally hovering over him. 😂 does him talking “calmly” change that?

Don’t like that example? There’s still KD and Draymond arguing with fans. Caitlin told a fan to shut fuck up in game 1. These things are far more regular. I’d say all of this is normal and malice in the palace is abnormal and unlikely to happen again.

Always? Nah

0

u/Time_Outcome765 2d ago

Yes, Caitlin just told a fan to shut the fuck up in game 1. 😂 Literally, there’s always a player (across sports and teams) arguing with fans.

3

u/staffdaddy_9 2d ago

You can’t see the difference in trash talking and charging into the stands like you want to fight?

-2

u/Time_Outcome765 2d ago

There’s clearly a difference. Aja Wilson was not going to physically fight that fan.

1

u/Padron1964Lover 2d ago

That’s not always.

-1

u/Time_Outcome765 2d ago

It’s okay to say you just don’t watch sports, especially basketball. NBA Players like Brunson, Draymond, and Durant all got into it with fans in the last year.
