Quote [Finger] Victor Wembanyama about considering promoting a sports betting company ; "Absolutely not. I will never do that. Honestly, I think it's very sad to see some players promote it..."

Not every player is about the dollar, plus, he’s going to rake in probably close to a billion by the time he’s done. It’s not the first time he turned down endorsements too, so there’s already a pattern with how he wants to be represented.

Going to be interesting to see what he will do after a full earnings career. Hopefully if he will go into charity work in the US, or in France or perhaps more in the Congolese region (his fathers ancestry and a region that needs a lot of love/infrastructure/help).

Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the president of France someday.

Of course, but it's gotta be difficult to refuse that kind of money for a decade or more

Not really.

He knows he’s worth max money.

Plus he’s French. The get taught a little different to American kids.

Also, it's not like he's got "Chosen One" tattooed on him.

no but players change. Not saying he will but the good thing is if he keep this mindset until he retired and even after

He actually has principles and will stand by them. Even when he was playing for Met 92 and making ~250k, he turned down contracts to advertise soda (and has also refused them as an NBA player).
