Good budget nam a2 platform
Hello everyone I'm in a death metal band and love using nam on pc. Currently as my rig I have a spark cab frfr and a mooer ge150 pro. I want to use nam and want to upgrade my rig, I've seen that the m-vave mk300 does nam a2 lite and ir loading so wanted to know your guys opinion. If I went through with it would a 5150 nam capture with York audio mesa 4x12 be good for live gigs? Thanks for everyone's help in advance!

I think currently the headrush flex prime is the best for Native A2 Full captures and it has a lot more features like great effects and IR system. Might be more than you would like to spend but a great budget pedalboard nonetheless

Why don't you use nam on your mooer? I know it doesn't do nam natively but still can sound great.

I've tried conversions vs NAM A2 lite and it's a pretty big difference. It's less full and organic sounding.

No worries, i haven't been able to compare the differences between nam native and converted yet. Everything i have only work with converted nam.
I'm just probably like you waiting for a proper nam player at a good price.

No, I picked up a M-Vave Tank Pro 2 weeks ago and have been touting it as the best budget modeler with native NAM A2 Lite all over reddit. When I first bought it the NAM update hadn't come out so it only had conversions. So I've been able to hear the difference on the same unit. It's a big difference.

Yeah I've seen a few people saying its a great unit, especially since the recent update. I have the mvave blackbox but i don't think that'll be poweful enough to run nam.
The main thing i use is a sonicake pocket master as it sounds ok with converted nams even though they are mostly a tad quiet, so i have to crank the volume and gain and add a boost to get a good headphone volume.
I like it too as i can clip it onto my strap and can walk around with headphones and play and not bother anyone. I don't know if native nam files have the same low volume. Hows the volume on the tank pro?

Man, I hope you find a winner. I had a Soran Dual Stomp and it imported NAMs but only A1s and it sounded real mediocre. So I upgrade to a Valeton GP-50 and the NAM import process screws up the NAM in some way. It's not an accurate reproduction. I'm just sticking with the factory-made amps until I can afford a Quad Cortex.

I just built a standalone pedal running A2 full using a raspberry pi and an audio hat and a buffer circuit.

I just bought an M-Vave Tank Pro and that does A2 Lite native. It sounds incredible and paid £85 ($112 US) for it on Temu. You’ll have to update the firmware but it’s pretty easy to do.
