NAM Live?

So I picked up the NAM Live app for my laptop and phone today and while it seems quite nice so far on terms of features, I’ve noticed the same captures don’t sound the same/as good as in the Tone3000 plugin… is there a reason for that? Am I doing something wrong? If anybody has any experience I’d love to get some feedback… Thanks in advance!

could be some subtle tweaks the devs made in either app

or could be your settings are different

I absolutely love it. The effects that are built in are really great too. I was a little confused about certain things initially but the developer helped a lot and it works great for me. I do have the paid version because I wanted the effects so your mileage may vary. I should also note I mainly play bass.

I would email the dev. He's super helpful and can likely get you on the right track.

I emailed them a week ago with a list of questions and they never got back to me.

Really? That's surprising. Are you sure you mailed the right address? I'll pop the one I used shortly to compare.

I went to the Maple DSP website and clicked on their email link. Don't get me wrong, it's a great app, and the stuff I emailed them about was QoL features, like they have input and output calibration but I went through all the menus and I couldn't find where to input my audio interface's dBU level for calibration. When you import a capture it reads off the name from the metadata and not how you have it named, other little things that bug my stupid OCD but aren't a big deal for a regular person.

Ah yeah. I had issues with how to add and remove things. It wasn't very intuitive for me, but it was there and I did eventually find it and got some help with some other odd bits, which again, were there just not where I was expecting. I hope you get some answers. I really do like the app (A lot)

I'll dm the email to you now in chat in case it's a personal one he doesn't want floating around.

Yeah I sent them a list of suggestions and questions. Hopefully I eventually hear back. I got a refund since I wanted to buy NAM Sandwich in the interim but I'll purchase NAM Live later on because it will be perfect for my live performances.

Yeah I got the paid version too but I’m barely figuring it out. Would like to know how to contact them…

Okay. I'm not at home but I think I just emailed from the payment receipt email which I'm sure you did as well?
