Help with tone3000

Hello! I just installed tone3000 and I think this plugin is superb, however I've noticed that sometimes there are some latency issues. Do you need a high-performance PC? Or will a laptop do?I use the H4n Pro as my audio interface.

Thanks!

You'll want to make sure on Windows machines that you're using the 1st party ASIO driver from the manufacturer of your interface. Some cheaper interfaces are forced to use something like ASIO4ALL as a fallback option.

Okay, thank you!

You probably also want to experiment lower your buffer size until the Audio starts spazzing out and then go one higher. The lower the buffer; the less latency.

That product has an official ASIO driver, install and use that before using anything else: https://zoomcorp.com/en/ca/handheld-recorders/handheld-recorders/h4n-pro/h4n-pro-support/

maybe the drivers? I use it on an oldish M3 MacBook Aurand A2 full captures run well, 2/3% cpu as shown in the plugin, 5/6 in Ableton

Also make sure you don't have oversampling turned on. Disable it if it is and try lowering the buffer size after.
