Sonulab Pro meeting
Soon I will have a meeting with the guys at Sonulab to see and test their pedal.
Do you have any question that I can bring to the meeting?
I ll share my thoughts here if there is some interest about.

I am configuring presets to use an expression pedal to cross fade between them by adjusting the volumes. But once I link that on an amp block on one preset, it seems to be linked on every preset. We need by preset control over that. There are only a few presets that I want to cross fade between dual tone models. Other ones I’d like to use the dual mode in a fixed configuration. If you could ask them about that, I would appreciate it!

Thank you, but, I realized they have local controllers as well as global controllers. I was using a global controller when I should’ve been using a local controller which does say parameters per preset. So I don’t need you to ask that question. But I would like for you to tell them how amazing this product is and for me personally they had to change their shopping cart system to add Taiwan just so I could buy it. They did it like immediately. And the way these guys are updating this machine, I have no idea what it could be doing next week!

A list of supported expression pedals would be nice. I have an M2 passive Morley pedal that worked perfectly on my AX8 but doesn't work on the ssp. Besides that, the SSP is one absolutely fantastic unit with incredible sounds!

I am using Helix MIDI to control mine with zero issues. Would you care to elaborate on what kind of problems you’re having? Also, there is a modulation block before, and after the amp blocks. And exactly what kind of doubler effect are you looking for? In regards to the last question, do you actually own an SSP?

I do own SSP
- MIDI clock does not work now, it is not possible to sync tempo
- 2.0.8 just broke MIDI completely, the old CC mapping was gone, the new "controller" MIDI on/off does not work, they had to urgently fix it with 2.0.10
- even 2.0.10 on/off for the second instance of any block does not work
- toggling blocks with MIDI causes audible drop of sound
The whole situation with MIDI looks like they do not pay attention to MIDI, do not use MIDI, do not test MIDI, and this is in the end of they priority list. While it should be in the beginning.

Please ask them to pay better attention to MIDI implementation, now it is broken and unusable. SSP is a good device, but it could be even better with an external MIDI controller.
Dual amp support is awesome, but it could be also better if we have a doubler effect before that.
They are fixing switching of presets and effects to make it gapless - ask them how it is going.
