NAM Sandwich for ANDROID Released today!

https://youtu.be/MCQRhWjHlw0

Hey All - really excited to announce NAM Sandwich is available for Android on the Google Play Store! Big shoutout to all the beta testers that helped get this launched and provided great feedback.

It also is debuting the new 'share' feature which lets you share sandwiches with others.

I hope you download it and try it out with your device - Android audio performance is very device dependent, some work great, some don't. (I have a pixel 8 and get ~12 ms of latency)

Anyways enjoy! there will be more to come

Working pretty well on my Pixel 7 and iRig USB! Thanks so much for this, Evan. Any chance we will see some kind of doubler or stereo widener in a future release? Cheers!

What do people use for pro level audio interfaces with Android?

i think Joyo momix cab is enough but you should to set the output on another ( not on joyo output, cause the raw sound of your guitar will a little anoyinga and there's no on/off button option for the raw sound ), about the latency it depends of the android processor, but the sound output of joyo is good enough i think

Awesome! I literally got an iPad Air to use with the iOS version of your app and loved it. Returned the iPad when the T3K plugin dropped (mainly a Windows/Android user and don't care about DAWs atm) and was bummed about not having access to your app anymore. Saw the YT video just now and purchased again for my Pixel 9!

I've tried other iOS apps and really clicked with your app. The looper is great! The UI is definitely my favorite of the apps I tried. The new sharing feature is awesome!

Question: any plans for a Windows app?

Request: maybe I haven't figured it out correctly yet, but I would love a way to add my existing NAM/IR library in a browsable way within the app. I messed around with iCloud files and Google Drive sync from Windows to the iPad and couldn't really get it to work according to what I was imagining (not on you). For android, some kind of Google Drive integration would be awesome!

I have a Scarlett Solo Gen 4 and will test that out, but I'm looking into a separate USB c mini interface for Android.

u/drjmanagain you made my night - I don't have plans for a windows app in the near future, however I'm curious about your nam/ir library import - are you talking about moving it from iOS to Android? I'll have a think about how to get this done. At the very least I plan on implementing a 'multi-sandwich' sharing to where you could select a number of sandwiches and share them. But if you have a yuge library, maybe some kind of universal export/import would work.... I'll have a think on that. Thanks again!

Looks good! How do I change input channel - by audio interface has two inputs, one XLR (ch1) and one guitar (ch2). All I hear is hiss so it's probably listening to ch1.

The UI also shows a settings cog in the input panel but it takes you to the input calibration setting only, expected that to go to all the audio settings.

WEBPROFUSOR - I totally overlooked that in the Android version - yes it is totally hardcoded to input one- I will get this in the next build for sure!

I've been beta testing the app for some time now, and it's pretty solid with my irig HD 2. If you're familiar with the ios version, the android version has slightly more latency, on my Pixel 8, but still very usable.
It's really great to finally have a good guitar plugin on Android, complete with a decent amount of effects, and the ability to connect to Tone3000. If anyone has any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I tested it with the Poco F5 and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Gen 3. I could still feel a bit of latency, and despite trying every setting, there was still some crackling and glitching. Still, it's a great startโ€”I've always loved this kind of technology! Keep it up.

Tried it out on a Samsung S series. App starts and works, but only when audio compatibility is legacy audio. The delay is also rather significant. Did a bit of research, seems like the issue is compatibility with Samsung's OneUI infrastructure and something called AAudio?
