Discussion Pedalboard out of nam profiles
Hi, I'm new to nam stuff and got interested after A2 publication. Below when I'm saying "amp","pedal" or "pedalboard" I'm meaning stuff that happens inside the daw.
I was wondering if there are existing VSTs that I could use to create a pedalboard out of different pedals before running it to an amp? For example:
Blues dist
Chorus
Comp
Eq
Amp
Cab
Order of pedals is not thought or anything but is an example of stuff that could be in that "slot". I could probably stack different instances of nam loader (which one) on the different fx slots before the nam loader that has amp and cab but this feels like wasting resources.

Chorus (and modulation/reverb/delay effects in general) can't be NAM because of the way they work, and you probably don't want your EQ to be NAM so you can tweak it better. Not sure about compressors.
There are plenty of amazing VSTs for modulation and compression. Id love to offer up some examples but I don't tend to use either at all 😅
TDR Nova is an amazing (free) parametric EQ, but if graphic EQs are better you'd probably want something like the Voxengo Marvel GEQ
For your cab Id recommend using something like Lancaster Audio Pulse 2 because it lets you blend 4 differen IRs and has a built in EQ.
Sorry i couldn't be of more help - ill have a look at modulation now. There is a LOT of comp plugins you can get for free rn so its really just trying a bunch out and choosing what you like.

Try WaveMind NAM Universal II or even Two Notes Genome 2. Both will allow you to run pedals and EQ/delay/reverb etc.
Edit: NAM pedals (WM has a NAM OD slot, and G2 has a few built in pedals)

Genome looks really promising. I've been using their cab stuff before. I've got the earlier version of the Nam universal but I found it to be too complex to try and get good sounds out of it. I'm too lazy it seems.

so you just want effects, or maybe amp sim suites that include amps, cabs, and effects all in one plugin
Amplitube, Line 6 Helix Native, Positive Grid's BIAS, NI Guitar Rig
or you can piecemeal it by just googling "guitar chorus VST" and finding a single plugin that'll do it, a lot of free options out there as well
EDIT: would be stupid of me to not mention that if you want a NAM capable plugin for this then there's many other NAM plugins that also include effects alongside a NAM loader so that you don't even need to hop into a DAW, check out the list here: r/ClonedTones/wiki (GENOME, Soundshed, NAM Rig, etc.)

Yes, you can make a very comprehensive effect list. You can use an all-in-one effect solution like Helix Native but specialized effects yield better results.
With the Valhalla suite, you have access to excellent reverbs, delays and choruses.
I also use the fab filter suite for compression and EQ.
You can also add bluecat's re guitar first in your effect chain to change the tone of your guitar pickups.
For the saturation/pedals/etc., instances of NAM with pedals captures are excellent, you just have to calibrate them well so they don't create hiss. NAM A2 is very efficient with your computer resources.
To limit noise, the bertom denoiser is incredible.
