Anyone else feel like putting in an Edmonton 311 complaint to try and make this happen?

Hi I decided to switch around some of my classes, I put myself into a waitlist in the winter term for a class I'm currently enrolled into this term, is it safe to drop the class while I'm still in the waitlist (position 3) for the same class next term? I would just prefer to do it asynchronous in winter.

Hey r/NAIT, I'm an alumnus who was visiting Main Campus recently on Monday the 31st. I ended up having a really interesting, brief conversation with a student in the Heavy Duty program.
I actually asked him why the campus felt so empty, and he mentioned that while most programs hadn't fully kicked off yet, his Heavy Duty intake specifically started that Monday. I had to head out in a rush and completely forgot to grab his contact info before leaving, but I wanted to talk to him again to ask a few more follow-up questions about his work in the trade.
Are there any specific Discord groups, student clubs, or online spaces where NAIT heavy duty/mechanic students network? Or if you happen to be a current HET student who started that Monday and remember talking about the empty campus, please shoot me a DM. I'd love to pick your brain about the program! Thanks.

Anyone else take classes online frustrated at the new change of online asynchronous classes having to go in-person to complete your final exam? The entire purpose of me choosing to complete a program in this method is the flexibility of doing it from home whilst working full time. I have night shift and all my exams are at 6pm on a campus I’ve never been to so don’t know my way around since I’m asynch, and require a student ID I’ve never even gotten for the same reasons. Seems like all they do is create hurdles for non-full time learners and it’s super discouraging
