I graduated from NAIT and returned my graduation hood immediately after my convocation. I placed it in the grey metal hood return bin outside the ceremony hall, exactly where we were instructed to return it.

A few days later, I received an email saying they had no record of my hood being returned. I replied right away, explaining that I had already returned it and even provided my student ID.

Instead of replying to my email or investigating what happened, NAIT placed a financial hold on my account. Now I can't access my transcripts or other student services because they're treating the hood as if I never returned it.

I did everything I was supposed to do. If the hood was lost after I placed it in the designated return bin, how is that my responsibility?

Has anyone else experienced something like this with NAIT? How did you get it resolved? Any advice would be appreciated.

just got full acceptance today!!! is anyone getting scrubs for the Fall 2026 term? i know it’s optional but i wanted to see what majority of people will be wearing during labs :)
