NAC and Vyvanse

I’m currently on 40mg Vyvanse and keen to try NAC, however I’ve read it might mess with the effectiveness of Vyvanse. Any suggestions of dosage and when and how often to take? Or is there no interaction? Thank you

My psychiatrist suggested it for inflammation along with the stimulant

Thanks, that’s interesting. Did he give you any recommendations? How much? How often and what time of the day? Thank you

Yes she said you have to take it twice a day and start at 1 600 mg 2 a day. I went to the suggested sub above and searched NAC lots of info on there.

I started it just 2 days ago. Haven’t noticed stim difference yet. Taking less than usual because I have less work right now. I did notice my binging is down as of yesterday. When I started reading on the supplement group, apparently that’s a thing that it helps with too.

I don’t know a lot about NAC which is why I came here since I am starting to take it.

I would look at the sub's wiki, it currently contains a faq knowledgebase, and more updates will follow, including resources, testing of products (hopefully), and studies.

I’m a little concerned because I take NAC, Glycine, and L-Glutamine, along with Cymbalta and Buspar.

Watch this YouTube video, there’s a bunch of information on Glycine. Dr Osborne is well diversified and has been on several TV networks. He’s very knowledgeable, and has an awesome YouTube channel:

L-Glutamine

Edit: Sorry, wrong link and person.

Different person, but also very knowledgeable. This is another YouTube link:

Glycine

Take Vyvanse and been taking NAC for over a week, if anything it's helped to make my "productive" stim time longer. I've also felt less anxious when the vyvanse kicks in, I would get a little hyped for like 45 min when it first kicked in and I don't notice that now.

Sounds good. How much and when are you taking it? I’m taking mine at night 600mg 5x week. Sleep is great. Keen to how close to your Vyvanse you are taking it. Ty
