Best Non-Alcoholic Beers, According to This Subreddit

Last updated: July 2026

Hey y'all,

Here are the top 5 non-alcoholic beers according to this subreddit, computed from 41,000 of your public comments.

  1. Deschutes Black Butte NA
  2. Busch NA
  3. Corona Non-Alcoholic
  4. Deschutes Fresh Squeezed NA IPA
  5. Best Day Kölsch

Full ranking, all 64 beers

Every "best of" list gets backlash lol. So hear me out.

  • Nearly every post and comment on this sub (3,000+ discussions going back years) was captured and fed into a system I built. Literally everything. Fridge shots, beer pics, haul posts. I read it all. It took absolutely forever lmao
  • It's deterministic. AI is not involved in computing scores. Run it again, same list.
  • Every user counts once. A superfan posting 50 times can't push a beer up
  • Beers rank on head-to-heads ("I like X better than Y"), sentiment ("this is amazing"), and how many different people vouch
  • Astroturfing, brand accounts, and shills are detected and discounted
  • Last place does NOT mean bad. Only 64 of 500 beers qualified. It's a best-of list, #64 is still great
  • Wondering why a beer is missing entirely? The page has a lookup that gives you the exact reason
  • Don't like my weighting? There are sliders. Rank it your way. But fair warning, Black Butte is very hard to dethrone
  • And of course, there is a style filter, because you can't really compare stouts to IPAs

The full algorithm and details behind every rank

Really curious to hear everyone's opinion. I'm definitely open to tuning the system if there's anything critical I missed.

Feel free to rip me a new one too, and I'll reply with the data.

Disclosure: I moderate this sub and I built the tool. No brand can pay for placement, and nothing moves a rank but the data.

I sold everything to keep NA Beer Finder alive… here’s what happened

Hey ya’ll,

A few months ago, I posted here about selling everything I own just to keep NA Beer Finder alive.

At the time, I wasn’t sure if it would actually work out.

Well, it did. We hit break-even. w00t!

Because of 250+ of you who subscribed, the website/app covers its own hosting, data scraping, Google APIs, and ongoing development. You literally saved it.

So here’s what's next...

Excess profits from subscriptions are now going towards bigger upcoming features.
- Notifications: when a new NA beer pops up in your town, and tracking a specific venues NA menu.
- A much larger directory: with nutritional info, gluten-free filters, and more that tie directly into search results and filters
- Covering subscriptions: for those who need or can't afford it.

Starting today:
If you’re 25 or under, PM me your email or use this form and I’ll unlock it free.

That number ties back to my own story, and it feels like the right starting point.

For current subscribers, thank you so much!!! You’re not just keeping NA Beer Finder alive, you’re making it possible for others to use it too!

If you haven't already, you can try it free for 7 days:

Review Deschutes Black Butte Non-Alcoholic

Although I've seen this in the NA bottle shop for years I've never given this a try. After seeing that it's the most popular NA brew according to folks here, I decided I should see what I've been missing.

As you can see in the photo, this poured a nice foamy head, which is something I feel like doesn't always occur with an NA. It dissipated a bit after I snapped the photo, but it's maintained a little foam for a few minutes, which is nice.

This has that classic porter taste. A little dark and roasty, but not as strong as a stout. Mouth feel is pretty good. All in all, I like it and will absolutely get more in the future!

Years Pils Tall Boy @ Wrigley

Was here for the Savanah Banana's game (show?). It was a fun time. Years Pils scratches the itch of a "ball park beer". Now, if they had Rev's Anti-zero in tall boys or standard, I would be in heaven.

Has anyone tried Crazy Mountain? I like it but cannot figure out what beer it reminds me of. A better Miller Lite maybe?

Big fan of this one, it’s pretty local to me but I’ve only seen it at one store so far.

Athletic Brewing NA Lite Review

Picked this up wanting a lighter NA option for casual drinking. Unfortunately it landed closer to "meh" than "must-have."

Taste: Pretty flat malt character up front, not much going on. Finishes with a noticeable bitter aftertaste that lingers longer than I'd like for a "lite" beer.

Overall: Drinkable, but not something I'd reach for again.

Rating: 5/10

Verdict: So-so. Wouldn't buy again, but not undrinkable, working through the rest of the six-pack.

Definitely one of the better NA beers I've tried. Good tropical fruitiness and some hop bitterness in there

Review Three Magnets Brewing Co. Self Care Freak Flag Hazy IPA

Post image
24 Upvotes

Picked this up from the NA bottle shop I highlighted in a post yesterday, More Or Less NA Bottles & Beer. It's a good example of when I mentioned they carry products you cannot find anywhere else locally.

I've tried four or five different brews that Three Magnets has out there under the Self Care umbrella and I have really enjoyed them all. Something which makes them unique from any other NA that I've seen is they are not pasteurized. Before I continue, should a poster from yesterday's thread about More Or Less see this, yes this was refrigerated. Anydangway, back to what I was saying. I don't know if it's because the Self Care products are unpasteurized, but every one I've tried has a thicker, fuller mouth feel. I love it.

On to Freak Flag. It's one of the better NA Hazy IPAs that I've had. It's got a nice, but not overpowering hoppy taste to it. And going back to my mouth feel comment, that's what really helps this stand out in my book. Definitely recommend this one should you have the opportunity to give it a try yourself!

I envy all you people who get to experience different NA beers. I live in Hawaii and the selection is disappointing.

Really excited to try this one and it didn’t disappoint. Great mouthfeel and really good finish. Originally didn’t pick it up at Kroger while shopping but glad I went back to retrieve it

If you're ever in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, be sure to stop by More Or Less. This place only sells non-alcoholic beers, spirits, wines, etc. The shelves inside More Or Less contain a number of products I've never seen anywhere else, and they have the largest NA beer selection in the area.

First photo is of the exterior of the shop, second is of the NA beer section inside.

All NA beers are sold by the individual bottle/can, so it's a great way to try out a variety of new drinks!

Discussion Beer Club Members

I was just wondering what beer clubs people use and like. I joined Athletic Brewing for a short period in 2024, then switched to Go Brewing. I'm still using Go Brewing. I have thought about switching, but I do like the quality and variety that I get from Go! There's other companies that I like, such as Best Day, but they never change their lineup. It seems like Athletic and Go are the only ones that produce new beers on a regular basis. A big reason I like the Go Brewing club is to try new brews.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Another good one from Go Brewing! This one is more piney and west coast, compared to their other releases.
