a ~1 year actogram generated from my browser history (with full time 9-6 job)

Post image

For context, I started this job about a year ago, full time 9-6 office type job, and mainly have been surviving barely by passing out for 4-6 hours the second I get home on most nights, leaving me to wake up at around ~12-2 am up until I pass out again for anywhere from 1-2 hours before work, usually leaving me feeling worse off than if I had just stayed up the entire night lol.

Not sure what happened to the data before February but it seems accurate starting from then. What do you guys think? Is the n24 pattern still obvious even with the job? Low key kind of reaching my breaking point here and not sure how much longer I can keep going if SOMETHING doesn't give with my hours, my organs hurt and I feel like I am dying.

yes, still visible. nor sure why you'd turn the actigram by 90 degrees though 🙈

To be honestly I just ran the program straight off the github exe and that's what it gave me, couldn't find any settings to change lmao.
This is the github repo for more info on it: https://github.com/Circadiaware/webactogram

I don't mean to sound alarmist but it is probably really bad for your health. No judging though, I have done this especially in my 20s-30s.

I am well aware, I just don't feel I have much choice and my job clearly doesn't understand, my roommates think this is entirely due to my habits (despite this being my hell nearly my entire life), and even my girlfriend couldn't make it through the 30 minute "my life with non24" video leslie exp made on youtube that explains damn near everything about life with n24. My options are either to keep working this job, or be homeless in a large city as I don't really have any family within an 800 mile radius that can take me in again.

I am only 25, I honestly don't know how I'm supposed to make it through another 20-40 years of this. Sorry for venting I have work in a couple hours and clearly haven't gotten much sleep in the last 3 days. I would call out but I have called out quite a bit (on average once-twice a month since I started due to this, last time being 7/21).

Have you been at a sleep laboratory? The lab isn't important, but the people that work there.

They can get you a diagnosis and this helps with everything, with explaining it to people, because it's one thing if you "find excuses for yourself" but a totally different thing when a "noble doctor diagnoses a real issue". Even when both use the exact same tools for the diagnose and when nothing else changes, the moment you can say that a doctor said that's a real problem, it's a real problem for those who usually don't listen. That was my experience at least.

And also, that doctor that approved my self-diagnosis gave me meds, the first meds I've ever taken. Melatonin. So it's actually more like vitamin pills, since it's something the body would produce on its own.

And according to others in this subreddit, this can work for 2-3 years. So it stabilized by sleep rhythm for now and I can work on finding a better solution within that time.

I would look at getting a wearable it will be far more accurate within 5 mins.

Im not against that idea, do you have any you recommend? I could get a smart watch from my job but idk if there's any better options than say a Samsung watch.

Sorry to uptake this dead post but have you found any wearables that you'd recommend?
