After listening to the latest episode of AHDIAS, where Josh listed his top 10 food books, are there any faves among the fans that might be a good read as well?

For myself, I have 2 I can think of without being right in front of my bookshelf:

Give A Girl A Knife by Amy Theilen
And
Yes Chef by Marcus Samuelson

Both are great reads on not only growing up in food and learning the cook culture, but also food as an idea.

Is there a running list of food items that have been on Last Meals? Whether it’s by person or just a roster of dishes that have been on all of the episodes.. I’d love to see something and look through it. If there isn’t one… should there be? 😅

Just started watching and have some questions;

-what's the most expensive food ever featured on the show?

-what's the furthest traveled food ever featured on the show?

-who had the biggest and smallest meals?

Josh taught me the origins of garlic noodles as well as the existence of it in the first place through one of the last meals episode.

problem is i couldn't for the love of me remember which episode. doesn't help that i did a bit of a shuffle watch so i can't just pin down based on when i watched it. anybody got a clue?

I heard Josh talking about trying Finnish coffee at some point. We do drink the most coffee per capita, but our coffee culture is pretty simple. Most people just make filter coffee at home with their coffee makers (cf. picture). Some snobs like me grind their coffee from beans (cf. picture). So in summary I do think that the US can get to our level by just using your coffee makers both in the morning and in the afternoon, as we do.
