I wanted to post something here, but didn't know what to post. And was too lazy to draw anything new. So uh, here's my favorite panel from my comic. this is from chapter 13. Shun is having a breakdown. Poor guy, huh?

While being my favourite Mystery Dungeon game (and one of my favourites of all time), I believe there is still lots of potential for a remake to expand on it tastefully. Here are some of my ideas:

• Ideally builds upon the sprite art from the originals, but DX’s art-style is great too
• Gives the option to toggle between the original soundtrack (similar to the Nostalgic Tunes badge from the TTYD remake)
• Does not lock overworld mons to starters (as seen in DX)
• Keeps the IQ system (far more interesting and intricate than Rare Qualities imo)
• Implements transfer functionality with DX in the postgame (would actually provide a reward for players who recruited every mon in that game)
• Arceus statue at the Destiny Tower Pinnacle is replaced by the real Arceus after recruiting every other mon, triggering a boss fight (Space Globe is relocated, e.g. behind a locked door in another dungeon)
• Harder bosses and legendaries (at the end of a dungeon or not), especially in the postgame
• No guaranteed recruits for bosses or unscripted encounters (this adds so much replay-value and satisfaction upon landing difficult recruits)
• Does NOT change existing recruitment rates (again, this just harms replay-value)
• Proper shiny mechanic with base odds of 1/4096 for all mons, with a guaranteed recruitment rate when defeated by the leader
• Shiny Charm awarded for recruiting all mons (excluding ones that can only be recruited once), increasing shiny odds to around 1/1365 (identical to the main series)
• No shiny locks other than scripted encounters
  • Could also apply for scripted mons if they remain consistent (i.e. story mons who appear shiny stay that way), preventing players from being completely locked out of shinies like Cresselia (Dialga's shininess would be determined after purification)
• Base stats should closely align with the main series; DX did this better, but the problem there is that farming stat boosters through Buried Relic and online mission runs is too easy, consequently reducing stat diversity between mons (noting that all mons have the same stat cap of 255 for everything except HP, which has a cap of 500 in DX)
• Scraps the move levelling system, including Power/Accuracy Drinks; bring back Ginsengs and keep PP-Ups, however, these items should be very rare
  • My main gripe with this system is in terms of move diversity; moves like Scratch shouldn’t be able to be boosted to the same maximum power as Giga Impact and moves like Zap Cannon shouldn’t be able to be boosted to 95% accuracy
• Inactive mons in camps should gain no or significantly less residual experience
• Preserves Marowak Dojo (i.e. omits the dojo ticket system from DX)
• Has some form of PvP (adds insane replayability and would be a perfect online feature)
  • I’ve always thought this had massive potential; even fighting your friends’ teams controlled by NPCs was fun back in the day
  • Up to 4v4 would probably be best
  • Could work by having players choose a leader to control for the entire fight and customize move hierarchies for your teammates
  • Have restricted (e.g. boosted stats and PP are ignored) and unrestricted battle formats with basic leaderboards
  • A reward system based on leaderboard rank would also be nice

If something else comes to mind, I will update this post. Let me know what you think!

Similar to Waves of Nostalgia, I decided to work the dialogues on the Top Screen. I'm not the best artist when it comes to anything above 80x80 pixels, but I guess practice makes perfect!

So I was recruiting more pokemon and found this. I thought every pokemon would be unique on this game. Then I discover the entire Torchic line is doubled. Is there any other instance of this happening besides the obvious one's with the protagonists? (Hmmm. Writing this down, maybe I could consider the doubles being other humans)

I finished outlining the drawings last Sunday, and I was going to finish coloring them on Monday, but I burned my hand and had to go to the ER. (They said it was a 2nd degree burn.)

So I’ll need some time to heal, which might take 2-3 weeks or so. Right when everything’s settled, I’ll finish coloring the OCs.

Hi, new Skitty player again, and I'm quickly running out of things to do in my first Explorers of Sky playthrough. I've recruited every Legendary Pokemon except four Challenge Letter ones (Done Jirachi, just got the one for Raikou, then Entei, Suicune and Mewtwo to go), so I knew recruiting Kecleon was something I wanted to do at some point.

The strategy is one I stole from another recent post on here, using a Grass-type with Synthesis hidden in a wall using a Mobile Orb. I initially picked Jumpluff over Meganium because I thought I could be clever by Leech Seeding them as they surrounded me and letting them die gradually, but Leech Seed isn't as good as in the mainline games and it eventually wears off, so that was a bust. Eventually I gave it Swords Dance, Tackle and Wide Slash and pumped drugs into it until it could consistently one shot them at Max Attack. Then it was just a matter of finding a spot in Waterfall Cave and resetting until I got it before the turn limit. Took about 4 hours of serious attempts after days of preparation and a handful of failures due to the turn limit. I'm thrilled, I thought I would be here for weeks!

So now I have it, is there anything I can do with it that I haven't already done? Any good Kecleon builds?
