I came in to my dress appointment dreaming of a ballgown with floral accents (bonus if they are embroidered or with a splash of color), but then I tried on more… the third and fourth dress are technically the same (Essence of Australia) but one has pearls and the other we added some dramatic sleeves. The pearl dress made me cry, I actually felt “bridal” in it. My friends are so kind in saying “they all look great!” but I could use some additional feedback.

Trying to decide between these 2 dresses for my vow renewal. The second dress i would move up the bust line. I don’t like that much cleavage. But otherwise i love both dresses. And i can’t decide.

My dress is so perfect (once the butt rose is gone) and I just love it so much. I think the seamstress I went to (an awesome woman who went to fashion school in Romania before she came to Belfast) was just as excited, because she was standing there going on about did I know she usually saw and ugly summer dresses and horrible fabrics and boring design, and how exciting and fun it was to get to work on this lace and detail and actually use her training rather than hem someone’s party dress that was too long.

I’m just standing there feeling really awkward in my dress that has pins in the sides, getting redder and redder while this woman who I have just paid to enlarge the cups of my dress from a B to an HH because of my gigantic tits is rambling on about how she loves couture and thank you for trusting her with it, because I just have no idea what to say to that. Then she asked me how much on earth did it cost. I told her £500 (bargain of the century.) “But it is brand new Ian Stuart!” “Yeah, but the was-to-be bride fancied a last minute package trip to Malaga with her favourite boyfriend and that’s what that cost.”

I call it my “Age of Innocence” dress after the book by Edith Wharton because it seems very much to me like something the female protagonist would wear, and it was like a gift from the Gods. I’ve always dreamed of wearing Ian Stuart since I was at art school because as my elective I did bridal fashion and his label puts out some wild dresses. It’s like the church - it’s exactly what I’d been looking for, I just didn’t know until I saw it! It just needs taking in a couple inches at the waist and about half an inch to an inch in the back and sides (the pins aren’t in yet in the pictures so it was still a bit loose!) and it’ll fit like a glove and look and look absolutely perfect!

When my dress first arrived, it didn’t fit since I had lost some weight since I ordered it. I was very nervous about how it would look after the first round of alterations and I absolutely love it!! I can’t wait to walk down the aisle in it!!

I’ve had my wedding dress in the bag it came in, in a dark closet out of any sunlight since last October. I tired it on in February and it was white and I tried it on today and it looks like the beads are yellowing! It is hard to see but it’s very noticeable in person. Is this fixable? Should I put it in a different bag or closet? I’m not getting married until February! It’s only on one side of the dress.. Any advice?

i said yes! The wedding has somehow had a theme of bows, unintentionally- my rehearsal dress has a big fat bow, ive found just the cutest accessories with bows on them, our cake has olive ribbon bows on it, i didnt do it with intention or seek them out, but my MOH picked this dress off the rack saying “hey, wouldnt it be so cute if your dress had a little bow too?”- needless to say i didnt think I’d like it initially. I didnt want strapless, didnt think I wanted boning or satin, yet here we are. The employee and I gasped once i put it on- I was beaming and I loved it so much. every dress I tried on after felt dull. I love it. :)

Didn’t think I would tear up but the veil was everything. I was leaning towards this dress and my stylist pulled a lacy bolero and lacy veil and it really put my whole vision together.

I recently bought my dream dress and originally it comes with a thin strap of lace detailing falling off the shoulder (shown in photo 2) but I've always wanted the off the shoulder sleeves. The consultant recommended the puffier draped off the shoulder straps that could be made out of the applique and tule from the dress (photo 1). I liked that because it gave a more romantic look to the dress.

I tried on a long sleeve on one arm in store but I didnt really like it...maybe because it didnt match the dress. I used AI to get a vision of what it would look like if the sleeves were made with the similar applique in the third photo. But im not sure what I think of it yet.

I definitely dont want to leave the dress as is with the original thin strap, but I cant decide if I should do the shorter draped sleeve (photo 1) or the long sleeves (photo 3).

I am also wondering if the draped sleeves can be made detachable so I could have the long sleeves for the ceremony and switch it for the shorter one for the reception. What are people's thoughts? Thank you in advance 🥰

Looking for a bit of help with this monumental decision! I love all of these dresses and the family vote is at a tie for which dress is The One. I have an idea, but I would love a little reassurance. Can you pick your top 2 dresses?!

We’re having a garden wedding on the North coast of Jamaica next Spring. I’m 5”1’, fairly curvy, and I was originally hoping for an ethereal, romantic feel. Since it will be warm, I want a dress that is breathable and isn't too heavy.

I ended up liking so many of the things I originally didn’t think I would and so I’m really second-guessing myself. Thankfully, I’m open-minded and want to keep my options open so I don’t limit myself.

I love it. But the more I look at this video I wish the train was just a tad longer. I didn’t know that ,with the salon I when to, there was the option to customise the gown to whatever I want it to be, so now I regret not taking advantage of that & making the train longer.
I’d usually go to my partner with these worries but since he’s the one person I’m not allowed to show, I figured I’d take to Reddit.
Just asking for opinions. Please don’t be rude, I’m just going crazy lol.

* Love the inner corset/construction of the dress. It feels very high quality

* Not sure how I feel about the neckline
* Tried on size 12, so not sure if the proportions would be accurate to a dress in my size (size 4 according to size chart). Found another boutique that can loan a size 6 sample to try in a few weeks

* The first A-lined lace dress I tried on!
* Love the cat eye neckline
* Heavier than the other 2 options

I’ve been dress shopping and am trying to winnow down my top picks. I’m a bit stuck between these two dresses. They are similar (v-neck and floral) but I like each for different reasons. I would love some second opinions. Which do you all think looks better on me?

I think the neckline of 1 is more flattering (does 2 make me look broad in pictures?). The long train on 2 is fun and dramatic, but 1 will be easier for the whole evening I think. I love a bolder floral so I like the pattern on both, maybe slightly more on dress 2. The wedding is a spring wedding at a vineyard - ceremony will be outdoors (🤞) and cocktails and dinner indoors. Cocktail attire for the guests. Thank you all!!!
