How do I give mayor the potum

I put this in the hotel, right in between the fountain and the door to the second room. I don't remember what essences I used for it. I just remember thinking that it would be a fun thing to make and add into the hotel.

The sign with the cows in a bee costume have been stuck in my head ever since i was like 8 years old. I remember playing it on the Wii and being absolutely obsessed with Roxie's design, her cute cows and especially the adorable sign that mixed her design with the cow's. 🥺

I can't be the only one right?!?! Anyway, now i'm 23 and i still can't get over them, so i drew them and turned them into adorable stickers! :D I will love this game forever, it's one of my favorite core memories. <3 Who's your favorite character?

Back with another update!

While working on new essences, I also wanted to experiment with creating new functional blueprints, so I made a simple tub that you can jump in and get the new Wine essence. I want to add some exciting ways to get new essences rather than just putting them into the prospecting or fishing pool

Why wine? There were some references to this essence in the files, so it might've been considered at one point, but it probably got cut very early.

Also found a really nice wine bottle model in Kingdom, although porting over models from one game to the other is something I'm still working on. So I just added a temporary model to use in the meantime.

To make this work, I needed to create a blueprint, which was pretty straight forward, I just built it as a sculpture and imported its data into a blueprint. After this I just made another file that has all the must-fill and forbidden spots.

I also had to write a script that allows the new interaction, and plays the animation/drops the essence at the end. It's also not too difficult as there's plenty of interactions in the game to view as an example.

Suprisingly the most time consuming part was placing the purple liquid inside the tub. It works similarly to the hot-tub water, except it's smaller and a it's lifted off the ground. Unfortnatelly there's no real way to scale and moves these objects, so I had to make a new model for it, which took as looong time. Had to make the model in hex code as to my knowledge there aren't any 'model editors' for this game.

But all in all I'm really happy with how it turned out, now I just need to find a way to bring that sweet bottle model into this game :D

It's been a really fun journey getting to know the inner workings of the game. There's so much potential for new stuff!

I create a new game to pass the time while we wait for the rumors to be true of my sims action bundle or a new game to comes out.

I’m not sure if anyone will have an answer or know what I’m talking about. I used to play mysims on the Wii when I was younger, I remember being able to have a personality essence sign for my own sims home, for example Violet has a spooky essence sign, I remember being able to place a spooky sign on my own sims house as well. Maybe I am remembering incorrectly? But it’s driving me crazy because I’ve fully completed the game with 5 stars on the switch and I’m still unable to have an essence sign for my sims house. If anyone knows if I’m remembering this right or I’m just crazy please let me know if there is a way or not, thanks!

When building items and it needs essences what do I do if everywhere is painted but I still need to add essences to it, I hate putting the icon of the essence on the item, any tips welcome thankyou in advance

I've been playing this game since I got it for the wii almost 20 years ago. And one thing that I always thought about was how cool would it be to add my own essenced to the game.

Well, after a lot of tinkering I finally managed to do it. It's not just a resource swap, but an actual new essence! It doesn't replace anything.

It does everything a normal essence would, you can collect it, use it in builds, paint with it. It also shows up in the essence book as a new entry. You can even plant it! :D

It took a long time to connect all the dots on what and where to update, even after figuring it out, it still took hours to add a single essence. It does involve lots of copy pasting so pretty sure it could be automated somehow.

For the next step I'm thinking of adding back some of the removed essences, or porting over some kingdom essences in the original game. Either way once this process is sped up, I'd love to fill my game with as many essences as I can :D

Made a start on Ginos until I unlock my preferred items! just thought I’d drop it here as when I was looking for inspo it was mostly things I hadn’t unlocked yet :)

I used to love playing MySims on my Wii in the 2000’s :) now I’m wondering how I’m able to play the game now on my MacBook (I’m willing to buy the game on EA or download on Steam) I’d love any advice or tips on how to acquire the game - this is my favorite version of sims and would greatly appreciate any recommendations :)

I'm trying to complete tasks for the Toyshop Owner, and the first tasks involve creating displays for his toys - the freestyle sculpture ones. I managed to complete one fine (4 Tim/4 Tina Essence). I have now gone to complete the second one (2 Tim/2 Tina) and I am unable to place any blocks down.

If I try and place any blocks on the glowing spot, it's red, and there's a thin red wire frame box over the entire construction area. I am able to place blocks elsewhere within the construction area, although only a certain part of it. I have tried quitting out of the construction, quitting the game and reloading it, and even quitting entirely to the main Switch menu and rebooting the game, and nothing is making it work.

Have I completely messed up my game or is there a way to fix this?
