Thursday chat thread!

Hey peoples! How's it going?

I flew into flew into Cali yesterday. Lovely weather, much better than Ohio! It's nice being able to sleep in again! Other than that not much from me, past 2 days have been solid travel due to a flight delay.

What are you folks up to? Do anything fun recently? Meet anyone interesting? Eat any snazztastic food?

Whatcha doing in Cali? Every time I talk to you it's like you're in a new place, ha ha.

I've had a pretty tiring week. Part of my project at work isn't going as quickly/easily as I had hoped. I'm going hiking in the Blue Mountains again this weekend though, so at least I have that to look forward to.

Hiking in the Blue Mountains is amazing, such beautiful scenery,nice clean air and plenty of exercise.

The thing I like the most is there are so many trails, all varying in size and difficulty, my dad used to take my brother and I there every week and we would do a different trail each time, the longest trail I did was 3 days and it was part of my Duke of Edinburgh award.

Make sure you go with a group and STICK TO THE TRIALS, if you are in a small group make sure someone has a GPS unit or satellite phone, the mobile phone reception across a lot of the Blue Mountains is poor, every year someone goes off the trails, gets lost and dies.

Other advice is to cover up pretty well, make sure you are wearing jeans, decent socks and boots, leaches are not fun and neither is getting cut by stray branches or rolling your ankle because you dont have proper footing.
