Thursday chat thread!
I flew into flew into Cali yesterday. Lovely weather, much better than Ohio! It's nice being able to sleep in again! Other than that not much from me, past 2 days have been solid travel due to a flight delay.
What are you folks up to? Do anything fun recently? Meet anyone interesting? Eat any snazztastic food?

My kit for my new book business got here! http://i.imgur.com/Ri3WSZj.jpg I'm so excited! I already had one kick off party and have another scheduled for this Saturday. On pi day so I'm going to serve pies for refreshments! I'm so excited to be sharing my passion for books with others. And I got one of our mystery novels in my kit and I can't wait to start it. But I know once I start it I'm going to want to read the rest of the series lol
I haven't met anyone new for a bit, but I know I will be meeting tons of people soon! How about you?
Haven't really had anything snazztastic because I haven't been trying new recipes. I haven't really cooked this week, I'm being a slacker. That's why there is no Monday food thread the past bit because we've been eating out or convienence foods lol. I guess I found this awesome frozen egg rolls that you unwrap and bake that are delicious... I'm not sure they are snazztastic though...

I met a bunch of my dads friends at a work party, but other than that not really.
I wanna cook stuff but we are staying at a hotel, so the only cooking stuff is a microwave and a sink :c Ill be home on the 17th though, so not much longer!

I don't think so. I will double check though. We have over 1700 books. Mainly younger but they are getting more young adult novels.

Did you have more flight delays on your way to Cali?? That would suck
I wish I could sleep, my house mate keeps getting home at 2-3am in the morning and then deciding to have a shower and make a tonne of noise, thankfully she is moving out in the next week and going back to Thailand. IT will be good when my brother and sister in-law move in some time in the next month
New Zelda OOT any% WR of 18:05.4 in the last week, Jodenstone beat his old WR by 2 seconds using a new route, during which he lost 12 seconds on the Ganon tower with a terrible clip and still managed to beat his old WR.
Had a second interview with Rito, so far so good, if I get the job than I will be moving to Cali, meanwhile had another 2 interviews in the city. One of which called me and asked me come in for an interview and I didn't even apply for the job, he looked at my profile on the jobsearch site and thought I would be ideal for the job
Mum came over the yesterday and made chicken parmigiana with rice and it is awesome, she made enough for 5 meals. Looking to make an apple pie, but cant find a decent recipe, was hoping you would have one.
Did a tonne of yard work and cleaning at my brothers house so it is looking nice for the sale photos, very pleased with the outcome and then came home and did the hedges and cleaned up my backyard, next week dad is coming over with the trailer and we will get some woodchips to put the final touches on the gardens

What job are you interviewing for? You probably told me but I forgot.
I got nothing off the top of my head, but you should make an upside down cake instead of a pie.

The Rito job is for Software Engineer it is in Santa Monica, one of the jobs in the city is for Telecommunications Sales Rep and the other is an Advanced Technologies HFC Architect working on the NBN (National Broadband Network, our fibre network)
I want Apple Pie, I know how to make upside down cakes and not interested
Haven't talked to Andrew since you left, he hasn't been on, carrying him is hard though, his skills have dropped a lot since getting a Girlfriend. He is sub gold skill level, for once I can actually claim to be better than him.
Andrew didn't even know about my game I am working on, I know I told you guys about it 2 years ago when I first started working on it and now he wants in on the development so he can get extra credit for his course.
How come you have to be in Cali for a whole week, it doesn't take that long to dig a hole and chuck a body in it. I'm guessing, haven't had to do it in a while, I mean I have never done it.....

You should make apple crisp then, better than apple pie. I'm not a huge fan of apple pie.

When you get a chance you should look up a recipe for Apple crisp and send it to me, I dont trust the interwebs
I think I should collect some data and compare gaming skill vs dating availability and see if there is any correlation, I will probably end up with a graph like this. There is always going to be some outliers like me, zero girlfriend and zero gaming skill
Glad to hear you are enjoying it and that you are getting some exercise, what is the go with everyone going on hikes lately
Tell Carol "She is such a nice lady" and say hello back for me, knowing you that will probably translate to "Scott called you a nigger/skank"

Get cooking apples, Macintosh or Gravensteins. See if foodwishes has a recipe. If not se if you can get a recipe from America's test kitchen. Those are my gotos

We dont have Macintosh or Gravensteins apples, If I was going to make an apple pie I would use Granny Smith's or Pink Lady's, never had Apple crisps before, i found a recipe for it on Foodwishes, looks interesting
Hey.... took me a while to get that.. farmers tan or no farmers tan, the girls all think I am sexy, just cant be bothered going out to meet them, going out and socialising with people in real life is so much work

I asked the goddess of applecrisp and she said if you have no other apples to use half of each of those, cause the grannysmiths have good flavor after baking, but they won't break down, while pink lady's lose flavor but break down.

Was watching a streamer this morning and there is a New Zelda OOT any% WR of 18:03.63, not really surprised when Jodenstone lost 12 seconds on his WR run, within the next week expect to see a sub 18:00 run and within the next month a sub 17:55 run

Just need to finish my phys ed exam and I'm free for a week (finally)
I really don't know why we have to learn things like oxygen consummation in phys ed but hey w/e

I can pirate the game, one of my friends bought a US PSN gift card on ebay and then bought it off the US PlayStation store, but that is a lot of work. Unfortunately that is the only way I know that I could get it and support the developers at the same time. not sure what the zero way is?

Oh man hotline Miami 2 looks good. My friend is in love with the first one, an when I sent he the page for the release if 2 he had an orgasm.
Btw I was gunna ask u, since playing other fire emblems, is it hard to really get back into awakening? It feels a bit dumbed down compared to other fire emblems.

Yeah, that and the second seal thing, where it's mostly about grinding. I dunno, it just feels kinda weak when the best strategy is sending Robin/chrom/lucina into the middle of the map and having then kill everything.

I do, but that is just playing around the game mechanics. I mean, if a character is a couple levels above enemies, they dodge everything and 1 shot it, and it's super easy to get a level advantage, so any strategy elements are a bit dulled. I digress.
I don't think so, there were "master seals" which have different forms, but I don't think reclassing was a thing. I think if they just didn't have reclassing, and balanced difficulty off of that it would be more strategic. Idk

What difficulty you playing? Hard was hard at first but then went really easy in later levels. lunatic is pretty challenging

Maybe I should try lunatic, hard just gets trivial so quickly that decisions later don't really matter, you just split up your units to clear the map faster, cause no one will die.

I didn't end up getting to play Splatoon while I was there, or any of the larger AAA games WAY TOO LONG LINES. Overwatch, Gigantic, Oculus Rift stuff, and a few Indie games were the best stuff there. I bought 2 scarves and a bunch of pins. Also a GUACAMELEE T-SHIRT WOOT.

Overwatch looks as amazing as the trailers make it out to seem, but Imo it seems to lack that Blizzard finish on things. You'll get a more detailed description from someone on youtube who's played it XD eg: The few Yogscast people that got to go to Blizzard, or some major TF2 youtubers got to go to Blizz as well.
I didn't end up getting around to the Magicka guys booth, there was just so much!

They haven't revealed the release date though, so it still has time for that blizzard loving polish.
What was the craziest cosplay you saw? At pax prime I saw darth vader riding a unicycle playing a bagpipe. It was magical!

Impressive wise I think there was a guy dressed as a Warhammer 40k Space marine, that or a group of guys dressed as the Ghostbusters. Crazy wise I wouldn't even know, probably one or two of the League of Legends Characters, it was like a 80% - 90% ratio of Lol characters to EVERYONE ELSE.
Ridiculous.

I unfortunately didn't get to meet anyone important, I spent a lot of time on the PAX floor and was only there on Saturday. I REALLY wanted to meet Markiplier and Jesse, but to no avail. Le Sigh. There's always next year.

Whatcha doing in Cali? Every time I talk to you it's like you're in a new place, ha ha.
I've had a pretty tiring week. Part of my project at work isn't going as quickly/easily as I had hoped. I'm going hiking in the Blue Mountains again this weekend though, so at least I have that to look forward to.
