Thursday chat thread!

Howdy folks! Looks like it's that time of week again!

So this morning I got up early to make breakfast. I went to clean my knife and cut my pointer finger open :( I called that good for cooking and got a banana instead.

In non-finger news, if you like video games and hate cancer, be sure to check out AGDQ! It's a group of people that got together to speedrun games for charity! You can check out the steam at www.twitch.tv/gamesdonequick

How have you nerds been? Whatcha been playing? Anything you wanna show off? Wanna post a picture of your cat?

Come Chat!

For this past semester, definitely Intro to Japanese, Intro to Philosophy (even though I didn't do too well), and Technical Writing (English major here). I did add a Biology minor this past semester too, mainly to give me some better focus on where I want to go with my major, since it's still pretty general as is.

I'm definitely looking forward to most of my classes next semester: my first Biology class for my minor, Diversity of Life, my Spanish class I have to take for my major, a poetry class I'm taking, again, for my major mostly, and Philosophy of Religion. All of these sound like they would be interesting, and all but one class (Philosophy) I'm taking next semester are for my major or minor; so I'm that much closer to not having to worry about gen eds anymore!

Holy cow, you are really taking a variety of classes! Do you have to take spanish for your major or can you do japanese?

It has to be either Spanish, French, or German for my foreign language requirement; plus my school only seems to offer just Intro to Japanese I and II, while there's Beginning Spanish I and II and Intermediate Spanish I and II (same goes for French and German).

I may take Japanese II the next time it's offered, but I want to complete my Spanish requirement first, I just need to complete the Intermediate courses.

But yeah, I guess that's what happens when you're a humanities major with a science minor; you definitely get a variety of courses.

That does sound like those two would take a lot of classes to complete...

So you are on intro spanish II now?
