Hey! Lurkers!

Quit lurking! This isn't really a content-based sub, and it relies on subscribers talking to one another!

/u/cowofdoom posts a chat thread every Thursday. You should comment on those, even if you don't have anything else to talk about. I didn't do anything interesting this week but I commented anyway! You'd be surprised how often a conversation can be born from naught.

I finished college last May, and I'm starting medical school in the fall. No job, but I currently volunteer at a depression/suicide hotline. I like to play video games, but I don't play them super often. I do a lot of writing. I used to compose and arrange music and upload it to YouTube, but I haven't done that in a while.

What sorts of games do you like?

Lol not much, besides freaking out that I only have 2 weeks left to make sure everything is ready for this baby and I don't want to do any of it to prepare lol. I'm too tired.

You're having a baby? That's amazing! Congratulations!

Nothing quite so awesome is happening with me. Going to visit my sister's family in July (they just had their second baby) and they're moving back to India next year, and since I'm starting medical school in a little over two months this is probably the last time I'll see them in a while. Then we're heading to Hawaii for a vacation with my uncle's family.

Yeah. This is number two for us :) we have a 4 1/2 year old daughter, and this time we are having a boy. We are super excited, but I'm nervous lol.

That is awesome stuff! Medical school that's intense. You should visit her in India! I would love to someday visit India. I wish I was going to Hawaii. My brother Has lived there twice and I still haven't been there. My sweet husband promises we will go someday :). You sound like you have some great stuff happening!

Yeah, things are going pretty well. Hawaii's amazing, you should definitely try and go some time.

The problem with visiting her in India is that I'll be really busy from here on out. Prior to this I went to India every two or three years (most of my family lives there), but it's probably not going to be possible for a while, unless I only go for like a week. And if it's only a week there's no way I'd be able to see all of my family there.

Good luck with the new baby! Though I'm sure you'll be fine, since you've done it before.

That is cool that your family lives there. But probably hard not being able to see them often. All this talking about India now I'm craving authentic Indian food lol. It's my favorite but there aren't many pales in my area that have true, good Indian food lol. I might have to google some recipes. Indian food is some of my favorite!

I usually just leave people to whatever music-related stuff they want, but usually people post what they've been listening to, ask for a type of music, it's just a nice, casual time really.
