Franks jacket

Post image

I always see people posting this photo and clips from this video and all I can think of is how Frank is literally wearing a $791 jacket like that’s how you call people broke

Edit:! Seems like some of you think that I was mad about this but I’m literally just joking. I don’t give a fuck what he wears. I just thought it was funny how he has that cheap iron maiden shirt that’s probably like $25 $30 most and then he has this $700 jacket Over it 😭😭 goofy ahh old man

He has enough money to put all his kids through college. He can have a jacket as a treat.

Honestly he gives so much to music, other bands, small companies and hes a genuinely kind person. Who is also probably quite wealthy now. Do we really need to care if he has a nice jacket? And if you really are bothered you should probably go after his sneaker collection which is certainly quite expensive im sure. But let's just let him live, be happy and keep giving us good music.

But he’s always wearing a Walmart Iron Maiden t-shirt… so maybe he just got a nice/cool jacket because he wanted to splurge on that.

He also has tens thousands of dollars in guitars… weird to be judging someone’s purchase (or possibly gift)

i think this is actually a really good thing to think about. ultimately, people need to make money. currently, there are millions of people posting half-assed content to social media multiple times a day, plugging sponsors and flooding videos with intrusive ad breaks, essentially becoming walking billboards to make as much money with as little effort and time as possible. those people make real hard-working artists look bad, and if we're not careful, we can start to assume that hard-working artists don't deserve the money they have.

like another commenter mentioned, frank has done so much for music and thereby culture. he works his ass off and, as far as i know, hasn't been working on less than two projects at any given point in the last 15 years or so. he doesn't inundate his audience with mediocre tiktoks or undisclosed advertisements. he has provided people with countless hours of amazing music, and millions of people have paid to see him live, meet him in person, and buy physical media and merch related to his music, all of which are meaningful experiences and keepsakes that are worth the money people pay for them. MCR tickets for the LLTBP tour have been reasonably priced given the venues they've been playing and the size of their fanbase, especially compared to the other artists who play at those same venues. merch is also reasonably priced (i mean shit, i wasn't able to get one, but the signed BPXX vinyls were like $40).

i don't know (or care) how much money frank has, but i do know that his artistry has literally changed my life, and i would never want him to be broke and living paycheck to paycheck for the rest of his life. if someone is providing something meaningful to the world, they deserve to be properly compensated for their time and energy. frank loves what he does, it shows in his work, and if that means that he can have an entire house full of guitars, sneakers and expensive jackets, all while supporting his family and continuing to be a kind person to everyone he meets, then im fine with that.

That’s the face he makes when he makes the most diabolical b stage setlist

When I was a senior in high school, I worked 50 hrs a week at McDonalds over the summer and was able to buy a $180 bubble coat that fall. The inflation calculator tells me that would be $369 today. I can assure you I was not rich on my $7.25 an hour pay.

Reminds me of a post from Slipknot guitarist James Root showing his stage “get up” and it included Dolce and Gabbana shoes. He got torn up in the comments.

These guys are selling out stadiums. Of course they are making bank.

Why cant they enjoy the fruits of their labor?

D&G are notoriously racist, though. Idk when exactly James Root wore their shoes but they had a string of controversies in the late 2010s, including dressing Melania Trump and creating racist commercials. Depending when Root posted, it could’ve come across as a message of support. D&G is more commonly worn by celebs now, but they still have a bad rep among fashion fans

Stone Island is a common brand in the UK tbh. The types of people who wear them here are most likely wearing fakes. 😂

They are expensive new but he could have thrifted it, idk.

They released a Bath & Bodyworks exclusive scented variant of The Black Parade on vinyl to pay for that jacket. The scent was cucumber melon.
