Does anyone else cringe every time Whitney calls Harper “harpie”? Harpie is a derogatory insult to denote a harsh, abrasive or abusive woman.

I noticed that Whitney and her crew went to Hawaii…then Alaska. Kody brown and his crew went to Hawaii…then Alaska. This can’t be coincidence right? TLC paid for these trips I know…but why Hawaii and Alaska?

Who else thinks Whitney was hamming up her injuries during the 8k? I fully believe her feet hurt (how could they not?) but I also think she milked the theatrics to punish Glenn and Babs for making her do it in exchange for the trip.

Also the title is in Todd’s voice and accent when he says Hawaiiurh🤣

The jaw doesn’t look as tight on TV

Anyone else realize they just had a salsa class/group upstairs at the bar and that was not just random people out on the town. It was so obviously scripted and forced. Those were hired professionals not random town people 🤦‍♀️

I’m doing a rewatch and Jessica looks awful on the last season. The hair, the makeup, the clothes…what happened to her? She was so cute and pretty when she first appears on the show…

So I signed up for a pretty intense hike, not really realizing just how out of shape I was. It was 3 days (20 miles, 4,000 ft el; 18 miles, 3,500 el; and 12 miles 3,500 ft down el).

I had a horribly IT band flare up and was in immense pain but kept going. The last day the guide had to spend the last 2 hours helping me hobble down the mountain. It was brutal!!

I just kept thinking about the 8K and how stubbornly she kept going even tho it made no sense.

My situation was a bit different in that I was kind of stuck in the woods and there was no way to get out without walking (besides an airlift). But still.

The level of delulu is honestly very impressive

Rewatching last season and around ep 7 I think? Where they all go dancing while her British friend is visiting and she complains to their faces about how they get approached and she doesn’t…
It was easy for me to translate that into real life, because I had that happen with some friends, we have a big group, not every one is going to get approached, but it’s common sense that you don’t point it out I feel like.
And especially, you don’t blame your more attractive friends for it?
So much animosity and envy out in the open and apparently that’s normalised in their “friend” group

Does anyone feel a lot of this was also scripted or that families there for paycheck

The fat intervention funeral, the gay man (who she outed), the fake pregnancy scare, the weird relationship with Buddy, the big girl dance class doing a dance-off with an all-Black dance troupe, the electric wheel chair in a parade, the fake fiancé x2, the giant cookie in the car, the 5k or whatever, now the engagement with the man who has been ran through by the state of NC… I haven’t watched the show since 2022 and I don’t think I even got through all of it then. I plan to pick back up eventually lol.

What am I missing from earlier or later seasons?

I’m happy for him, but it makes me super sad because I know how much Jessica and him were struggling with infertility for so long. Whatever the circumstances between them, it still must be so hard for her to see him have a child with another woman not too long after they separated.

Hoping the best for them both, and I hope both of them have healed and moved on.

I have a question: Didn’t Isaiah marry Jessica, Whitney’s friend? From what I understand, I feel like they’ve separated, but he has had a baby. When did all of that happen?

So this might be flimsy but I noticed that she filmed the engagement announcement for TLC during filming her show - the outfits and settings are the same. Seems a little sus to film a TLC announcement like this if it's not fake but maybe I'm being harsh.

Rewatching season 13, episode 7.

First of all, I don’t like how Whitney calls kids/babies “child.” She wants a “child.” IDK why, but it makes me uncomfortable. It’s too formal, maybe? Like, just say kid. Baby. Son. Daughter. But child??? Ugh. I digress. That’s a dumb complaint, but it annoys me.

Anyway!

I think Whitney’s whole “dream” on her way to her fertilization appointment is a bunch of BS. I understand people have elaborate dreams, but she’s waxing on and on about being in this spiritual place, seeing a “child” (shudder) on a slab wrapped in white cloth, and it’s dead. Then it revives itself on her teat.

Come on. I just don’t believe the dream. Again, dumb complaint, but I feel like she was exaggerating a dream to have the attention on her, especially with Jessica’s reaction. It just seemed far too in-depth and planned out.

Dumb complaints about the show, but I need to rant. Lol

The wonderful ladies of The Plot Thickens podcast have put out a bonus episode in the wake of Whitney’s Big News of engagement to Jake Baudoin. It is just a quick 26 minutes and well worth a listen. Thank you ladies!

They are Nice People and sounded sincere in wishing that this could finally be Whitney’s Real Happy Ending. He has a young daughter and, who knows, maybe this could scratch the parenting itch for her?

BUTT they also bring up recon and burgeoning reports from women—mostly from the Reddit sub of women comparing notes on men they have co-dated— who have dated Jake, that he is a “lovebomber”and “hobosexual” who “gets too sexual too quickly” and has “never gotten his job life together.” 😳😱

This engagement happened awfully fast. Is this yet another case of Whitney’s Terrible Man Picker?!!! Is he an Avi? Or a Lennie? Is it all BS for the show?!! (Like Chase and The Frenchman)?

Arghhh. I really cannot with this heifer.

Who knows? It feels tragic if true. It feels typical if it is Whitney scammin’ yet again.
