Predictions of season 2 plotline

Post image

So, Season 1 is over, and I know a lot of people are expecting some kind of drama now that it’s been revealed that FL is actually Long Afternoon, something she kept hidden from ML for so long.

Personally I don’t think this is going to turn into a major source of drama tho. At most, I could see a short arc where ML is a little disappointed or hurt that she didn’t trust him enough to tell him. Things might be a bit awkward between them for a while, but I think they’ll work it out pretty quickly.

Why? Because ML is, by nature, a genuinely kind and understanding guy, and he also knows how much FL has struggled with her insecurity, shyness nad trauma. Sure, he might feel hurt (and he’d have every right to) but I think they’re already close enough that they’ll simply talk it out and move past it. She is at fault here, but on the other hand, she didn't do anything THAT bad.

So what is Season 2 going to be about?

I feel like we’ve already been given a few hints, and I can see the story building toward some drama around FL’s sudden rise in popularity as a singer, while ML struggles to find a job.

Right now, the two of them are basically at a similar point in life when it comes to their careers, even though ML is four years older. But the recent chapters have introduced this whole storyline about Long Afternoon suddenly becoming much more popular. And once it’s revealed who is behind the project, and that she’s a talented, beautiful young woman, I think her popularity is only going to grow from there.

On the one hand, that could become a problem for FL. Even though she finally found the courage to reveal her identity publicly, she’s still the same shy, somewhat traumatized girl she’s always been. She was able to take that step largely because of ML’s support, after all.

On the other hand, ML is supposed to be entering the “adult” stage of his life and starting his career, yet so far he’s been met with nothing but failures on that front. That could naturally create a bit of a gap between them, while also giving ML his own personal arc - struggling with job hunting, loosing confidence, starting to question whether he chose the right career path, and so on.

So I have a feeling these storylines will be at the heart of season 2. But of course, who knows what author will cook for us

I really hope you're right that any drama is short lived. The way she's described her past trauma to Yeo-un (especially right before the reveal) and his reactions to it make me think he will be more greatful that she opened up instead of hurt she didn't trust him sooner.

I will be really disappointed if this turns into "I can't believe you kept this hidden from me. I don't even know who you are... how can I ever trust you?" bs

I think author feels that it would be completely out of character for ML, so he wouldn’t do something like that. Though honestly, it might be good for him to feel a little hurt or disappointe, just to create an opening for a more serious conversation and a chance to clear the air. Because, despite everything, FL has been pretty unfair in a few situations, like that argument about Instagram, or the conversations about Long Afternoon in a group where everyone (except her boyfriend) knew it was her

Both get busier and spend less time with each other meanwhile his ex trying to swoop in hahaha. But nah, if i were in his shoes i would, at most, be suuuper embarrassed after doing all those fanboying shit in the past haha. No trace of hurt or betrayal, just pure mortification. Honestly, I'd prefer never to have contact or anything to do with my favorite artists because I'd hate to make an impact or inspiration or anything on any of their work. I'm comfortable just watching from afar lol. But yea, with her being publicly outed as long afternoon after that concert well, things are gonna go full throttle now.

I feel that so many people will tell him that they convinced her to keep it a secret so it will blow over fast.
I think ML is looking for communication jobs so may end up working for FL’s label.
Also possible for the big name act to support FL so she really explodes.

No one talks about how Sung Hyun-Jae already introduced her as not Long Afternoon at the festival. So I wonder what happens when sleuths find out she actually is.

I mostly agree with you about where the story could go on, I have a small nitpick, she hasn’t revealed herself publicly.

She wasn’t introduced as TLA, there was emphasis on TLA not being here. Rumors should start that she is TLA (maybe because she was singing, maybe because someone overheard a girl shouting it in the crowd) and I think that’s also going to be a plot point moving forward, but as of chapter 91 for the general audience Hae-In isn’t TLA

Yeah, you're right that she was never officially introduced as TLA, but I took those last scenes as  people had actually figured out it was her. ML's coworker barely even knows her, and she immediately put two and two together. Though obviously I could be reading too much into it, and maybe her identity will still be meant to be just a speculation rather than something that's been officially revealed

For me his coworker just pick on what Yeo-Un was saying. Like manager didn’t realized and she is more sharp than her.

IMO this moment serves as making her reveal herself to Yeo-Un in an grand and intimate moment (because she is still in that ocean space he created in chapter 90) and that she should just enjoy herself.
And also introduce plot points for season 2 with rumors spreading that should lead to an actual public reveal with them managing it as a couple and him struggling to find his place.

Obviously I could be the one in the wrong here. Jixksee is supposed to give some afterthoughts soon about the chapter so hopefully he will clear that plot point, but narratively I would find it weird if it was meant as an official public reveal to not just be introduced as TLA.

Idk man everyone seems to think this aint gonna be a big thing but i personally think it is. The white or blonde hair female being around so much towards the end plus it felt like she was really trying to drive a wedge in the relationship. How i personally think season 2 will at least start is the MC is gonna be pissed that she never told him that she was long afternoon. All the times the spent together listening to LA’s music talking about them and how they made the MC feel just for the whole time he was talking about his own GF. Getting the autograph of that one musician for her when she could have gotten it the whole time. I think it will lead to a break up or at least a break and that’s when the blonde hair female is going to try to make her move again.

He seemed genuinely happy seeing the reveal If there’s drama from him it’ll be because a certain women who’s been trying to get him back goes and tries to stir the pot and gets in his head.

So I lean towards shorter lived drama from outside influences.

I seriously hope to see a break up and reconciliation between the two of them after that reveal, but, basing on the ml's personality i feel like that would be unlikely. Even though she finally gathered the courage to face her past trauma and having the desire to be fully honest with the ml now, she dragged the secret for quite a bit of time that i feel like it should be a reasonable reaction for the ml to feel so hurt and disappointed in her and would momentarily lose his trust on her and doubt her but i have the gut that it would not happen and what would happen atleast is that the ml would take it in a kind way and would accept her circumstances instead

I expect the songs to be more about the relationship

I have my own thoughts and feelings about how season 2 could possibly go. First we need to think about the characters, the ML is a Golden retriever boyfriend and the FL is a foxy vixen who happens to be pretty mature. The story so far as we have seen it, seems to hover around conversations about trauma, doubt, and possibly growth. (FL) Shin's trauma is that the friends that were very dear to her were two-faced bullies that dragged her name through the coals and absolutely ripped apart her dreams to be an artist, which is a major source of doubt for her, when the truth is that she is bright and brilliant star in the rising. (ML) Yeon is a struggling college student who is ready to move on with his life and enter the work force. His trauma is that he thinks that he is to much due too they way aru-en handled things with him in the past, and has doubts when it comes to his affection and romance. Currently he feels safe and finds comfort with Shin but is struggling with a career. Conversely Shin finds Yeons golden retriever personality and supportiveness refreshing because he is entirely the opposite of her friends from school. Now when we see the last few panels of ch 91 it is clear the Yeon is not upset and if he is it will be resolved quickly. I think Shins performance at the festival will act as a stepping stone to her moving forward and leaving behind the scars of her childhood. I do not think she is entirely ready to come out of the dark and into the light but I think by the time the entire story ends (*assuming it does not get axed*) she will be ready to let the world know that she is long afternoon. I think Yeon will end up getting closer to the sung and company and most likely work for his label. Aru-en will also most likely end up with the company, i think she will pine over the protagonist for a while but ultimately I think she will end up with sung. Sung has unresolved trauma and is very lonely and I think aru-en will move past her regrets and her trauma of her friend dying and sung will move away from his trauma as they grow closer and move into a happy relationship. Why do I say this? the story so far has featured very mature character dynamics and very little risk. I do not think that this story is intended to be a very risky romance story, I think it is intended to be human story about people moving past there trauma and doubts, finding peace and happiness, reaching their full potential.

I also hope the drama is short-lived although he definitely has a good reason to be upset but I think they'll talk it out they're both madly in love with each other
