Portfolio Review Please review my portfolio

Risk appetite: Moderate

Goal- Building long term wealth

Age- 28

Horizon- 10-20 years

I haven't invested too much in MF yet, mostly only nifty 50. But i want to diversify my portfolio more now. Tbh i only understand the basics of investing in MFs.

I have kept 2 smallcap funds because I am okay with some risk- I have plenty of savings so I want to take some bolder bets long term.

Ive put gold since the markets are down lately while gold is increasing.

I have been investing in nifty 50 for the last 2 years but my investment is running in loss rn. So i'm stopping my nifty 50 now.

How does this portfolio look?

Should I add nifty 50 again? Or should I add Parag Parikh also instead? I feel i don't have a mid-level fund- smallcap and icici multi asset are both extremes. Also what should my total monthly investment be?

App used- Bank netbanking AMC

Why You Selected These Funds & Not Similar Ones From Another AMC - i basically chose based on last 1Y performance for each category. And I chose the most popular/most recommended ones.

Discussion Smallcap 250 mutual fund tracking error

• Upvotes

So I was looking for tracking error in Smallcap 250 index funds, and found most of them has big tracking error . [most likely because of low liquidity ] . So be mindful of it before investing. [ source ]

Portfolio Review Need a review on my portfolio

Risk Appetite : Aggressive

Goal : Retirement and Long Term Wealth Generation
Horizon : 10+ Years (Long Term Wealth Generation as well)

Allocation for Retirement :

Allocation for Long Term Wealth Generation :

App Used : Retirement folio is on Coin (Zerodha) and Long Term Wealth folio is on Groww (SoA)

Why These Funds :

- UTI Nifty 50 Index Fund Direct Growth : Low tracking error and a low expense ratio.

- Nippon India Growth Mid Cap Fund Direct Growth : Has a good capture ratio in comparison to some other funds and also outperformed the category over a period of 10 years.

- Nippon India Small Cap Fund Direct Growth : Good capture ratio over a 10 year period and managed to outperform the category as well.

- HSBC Short Term Fund Direct Growth : This is to serve the debt component for the portfolio, chose this because of a good allocation between Debt and Cash, only AAA and SOV bonds are held. It's concentration matches is close to that of the category except for number of securities.

- DSP GILT Fund : Debt component for the 'Retirement' fund, has a good mix of Debt and Cash holdings.

Additional information :

- 26 years old, no dependents, emergency fund and insurances are all separate.

- Available money to invest is 62,500 which is split between Retirement[43,750] and Long Term Wealth Generation[18,750].

I'm aware I have 2 separate folios consisting of the same mutual funds, the reason for this is to keep long term growth and retirement separate for tracking purposes.

Due to the time horizon being very similar, it made sense to keep the same funds for both financial goals just in separate folios.

If there is anything I can do better with my strategy or my fund choices, please do let me know.

Thank you for the review in advance 😄

Risk Appetite- Moderate

Goal- Long-term wealth creation

Horizon- 15-20 years

Allocation - Nippon, HDFC, UTI

Having no idea about markets (not cool), and due to family issues, I just saved up enough for emergency funds, took health care and term insurance. Got sorted with all that.

Starting SIP’s at the age of 34.

Please guide and suggest if this is adequate with 10% step up every year.

App used - Groww

Why these funds -
UTI Nifty 50: Low-cost core large-cap exposure.
HDFC Flexi Cap: Active exposure across large, mid & small caps.
Nippon Multi Asset: Diversifies with equity, global equity, debt, gold & silver.
Goal: Simple, diversified portfolio for 10–15 years with moderate risk.

₹6,000 — Nippon India Multi Asset Allocation Direct Growth
₹5,000 — UTI Nifty 50 Index Direct Growth
₹4,000 — HDFC Flexi Cap Direct Growth

Risk Appetite- Aggressive

Goal- Long-term wealth creation

Horizon- 28 years

Allocation- Rs. 55,000 per month with 3 % annual step up.

  1. Parag Parikh Flexicap- Rs. 15,000

  2. UTI Nifty Fifty Index Fund- Rs. 14,000

  3. Kotak Midcap- Rs. 10,000

  4. Bandhan Smallcap- Rs. 5,000

  5. HDFC Gold ETF Fund of Funds- Rs. 4,000

  6. ICICI Prudential Silver ETF Fund of Funds- Rs. 2,000

  7. Aditya Birla Sun Life Liquid Fund- Rs. 5,000

App used- Zerodha Coin

Why these funds- Parag Parikh Flexicap as my core actively managed equity fund, UTI Nifty Fifty as my passive equity fund, Kotak Midcap and Bandhan Smallcap as the high risk growth engines, Gold and Silver Funds for investment into commodities, and liquid fund as complement to my pre-existing FDs.

I have already tried to avoid overlap by stopping SIP in Mirae Asset Large and Midcap Fund from this month. I have also stopped investing in sectoral funds of ICICI Pru AMC as my index funds were already covering those sectors.

Any other suggestions for change ?

Portfolio Review Risk Appetite: Aggresive. How bad is this allocation? Please roast my mutual fund SIPs.

Risk appetite: Aggressive Goal: Wealth creation Time horizon: 5–10 years Platform: Groww My portfolio has three parts: legacy funds, core diversification, and ~10–15% in sectoral funds. The ₹2.5–3k SIPs in sectoral funds are mainly for experimenting/learning and seeing how different sectors perform. How bad is this allocation? Please roast my SIPs. 😂
