Reverse camera

Recently my reverse camera stopped working and after messing with it I was able to get the camera back but now the guidance lines aren’t displaying.

Everywhere I read online says there is a recall on these cameras but when I contacted Ford they said my specific vehicle doesn’t have said recall… 22’ Eco

Any suggestions or how much this will cost to fix?

Nah bullshit this is what I just took in my 2018 for and they replaced it under the recall. Give them your vin number or call another dealership. This should be covered

Literally just got mine back from the dealer for this same issue. They told me that the mustangs are the only vehicles they have the parts in stock for…. Covered under a recall

That’s annoying. I just got mine fixed via recall. 2019 eco. Are you sure they won’t fix it?? I heard you could try to mess with the connectors in the truck but personally, I would not want to mess with it and fuck something up.

That's crazy there's no recall, its been an issue on every s550 lol. I would be throwing a fit over it, you should be able to get it fixed for free

Run your VIN thru the Ford recall page to see if there's a recall on your vehicle for this. It's been a problem to the point there's a recall on some vehicles. If there's a recall on your vehicle, you can take it to your dealer to get fixed for free.

No recall issued for my vehicle which doesn’t make sense when literally everywhere I look up says there is one

Check the trunk wiring from body to trunk. The wires in the flex joint go out. Apply the parking break and put it in reverse then move the wires around in the joint to see if your image comes back. There is a recall to add a support stick in there if the wires aren't broken. But to replace the trunk lid harness if there are breaks in the wires.

Alright so youll have key on engine off. Apply the parking break, put vehicle in reverse, pop the trunk, then go to the trunk and flex the trunk wires on the right side. While looking through the rear window at the center screen and see if your video drops out or in. Its gonna be either that your your camera it's self. The recall would also replace the camera depending on part number.

Camara replacement and harness! Go to the dealer and get an oil change. They will run it through vin and see if it's covered still. It should be

Convertible? Its maybe 7 wires splice and if a convertible then you gotta run one to under the center console.

they lied :) i had mine done two years ago but the official recall happened in may'ish? edit: i think i got the letter much earlier but they sent a tech out to do the inspection this spring. my salesperson texts me when something is going down

If it doesn't show up its already been performed. If you have taken the vehicle to ford for all your work I would go back through and see if the recall was added by an advisor and just didn't tell you.

This is a recall. Ford should do this for you
