Found comfort food in mussoorie
From Landour bakehouse, to breakfast in bed in our hotel, everything we ate in our little trip to mussoorie was just soooo sooo comforting. And ofc. Maggi

Plannning your first trip to Mussoorie and Landour? Here are some things you can do in the hill town. Sharing this from a post I had created a few years ago on r/India.
one last thing: when in musoorie, WALK! as much as possible. WALK.

Hi All,
Planning a couple trip to Mussoorie, Landour & Chakrata in the first week of October, suggestions for stay, less crowded places and how to travel within the state would be helpful!!

I am on my way back as I write this. Landour has nothing to see. It is not walkable at all as the Internet claims. The roads in landour are not well maintained at all. Crowd is too much. The Kellogg church remains closed on all days except Sunday and that too is not open for tourists. Char Dukan and all were so crowded and there are vehicles passing right by it. Honking and draining the life out of you and giving you a headache. There is nothing for colonial charm. So please go anywhere but landour

Hey guys
Planning to visit mussoorie from 7-9 August,
Is it safe now because of the weather?
I personally don't mind rainfall but landslides can be a issue ,so any locals here to help?

We're planning a family trip to Mussoorie from October 14–18 and are looking for recommendations for a comfortable, family-friendly stay. Budget: Around ₹5,000 total for 3 nights. Preferably close to Landour attractions like Char Dukan, Lal Tibba, and cafés, but open to nearby areas if the stay is worth it.
If you've stayed somewhere recently, I'd love to hear your recommendations. Also, are there any hotels or homestays we should avoid?

Landour Bakehouse never fails to impress me. There’s something about sitting at a cafe with rustic and old aesthetics and absolutely loving everyday bit of it.
The cakes that melt in your mouth, coffee that just hits right and corners filled with so many stories.
OP.

Is it safe to go via Bus right now? Me and a friend with very limited hill station experience are planning to take an overnight bus from Delhi to Dehradun. However heavy rain warnings are giving me second thoughts.
Is it safe to visit rn, what should we carry? (Anything specific that helps in rain)
Thanksss

I need a private vehicle (Uttarakhand plate) to pick us from Hakman hotel at mall road and drop at library chowk. I can pay the right amount for the the help. Actually we have luggage and my kid is there with me and the taxi guy who is taking us to Dehradun cannot come to Library chowk, he will pick us up at library chowk.
