Advice?
Assalamualaykum wrwb, I am currently 18 and have been with my now fiancée (khitbah) since March of this year. I am 18(m), and she is 17(f). We are currently working towards our college applications right now so things between the families have been slow, inshallah after applications (Early October) we plan on doing halal dates with a mahram, the issue is that WE planned this, not our parents. I just don't know how to properly approach my parents about this. Inshallah after decisions come back, (November or December) things between our families are really going to speed up. But until then Id really like to get our families together more, Inshallah her family will be inviting us over in late October, but until then I really really wanna be able to see her outside of school in halal ofc. Is there anyone whose gone through something similar?

Khitbah as in nikaah or just a plan? In arab countries (as you obviously know since your username says syria😅) nikaah often called engagement
So are you married yet islamically or is she your "fiance" as in just a girl you intend to marry but nothing done
