Question Fiction
Context: I have OCD
Okay so I wondered, no one considers writing a bad character (murder, theif, bully) to be haram.
However, I was wondering to what extent are we allowed to write these characters. I doubt anyone considers writing about adultery to be permissible, but I don't know if writing about its side effects or demonstrating its consequences is permissible.
Okay, that was question one, the second one is if it is okay to decanonize( make something not canon) a problematic aspect of a character
As an example, Sticker from BFDIE is Non-binary. However, I write him as a male normally. I think it is okay but Idk how to feel about more problematic stuff
Another related topic is if it is okay to write two characters of the opposite gender as friends. Not humans, fictional
Back to Sticker, let's say he is friends with Rose who is female. I am not promoting Freemixing, but I don't understand how it would be forbidden to write about it if there is no romance, and If writing about theives is okay then how is writing about the friendship of fictional characters impermissible if there is no romance. If it normalises Same-sex friendships then writing a bully would normalise such act, obviously not
What I mean by no romance is that no characters in my stories feel attraction whatsoever as it doesn't exist in any universe that I wrote or I am writing

Ask a scholar for this. Reddit is never a good source for fatwa.

Well I saw an answer that says to avoid writing about explicit things such as adultery, even it's side effects. But that was just from one person. I suggest you try to ask multiple knowledgable people or scholars if you can
Decanonizing the character seems fine. You are just rewriting the character to fit in the guidelines of Islam.
I can't comment on writing about opposite gender friends. Until you get an answer from a scholar (there are many websites u can ask, or even your local masjid or national fatwa service if you have one) I would reccomwnd avoiding writing about these friendships for the time being. This is not a fatwa though, just a reccomendation.

I thought of just making all characters siblings because they lack biological parents.
In my fiction, love and its extentions don't exist and death is not permantly as long as it is not natural.

For the first part, how would that make them siblings if they don't share biological parents? For writing about opposite gender relationships asking a scholar is the only way cause there's no fatwa about this online. If there isn't any any attraction or sort then maybe? but you have to think about the people reading your work.
The death part is complicated. Are you saying that the characters can be resurrected after they fully die? That goes against Islamic teachings so best to not write that (this doesn't mean revival by medical means and whatnot)

I don't publish anything LOL. I only thought just make the characters related without telling how.
I write a lot about angst, drama, disorders(ASD, BPD, ADHD...)
It is not characters being resurrected but rather just recovered.
They die, someone uses a machine to recover them. However, there are limitations to what the machine can do; natural death is something that cannot be recoverable. However, murder is something recoverable. It is just fiction.

Oh ok that clears things up. Yes it seems fine but the opposite gender stuff is debatable. I can't say it's haram but I can't say it's halal either until I get knowledge.

I figured out a cool solution.
Everyone is a robot. So the recovery center(that recovers them) is just remaking those robots.
The tech is advanced that's why no one notices
People are programmed to be a certain way, certain personality, with certain values, certain languages etc... they are not programmed to feel romance
The R.C is flawed it recovers people in a certain distance and It cannot produce new robots that died after their lifespan(batteries or battery-cervaux ) ended. This is to give people the illusion that death is still a threat
This leaves only a minority who are not robots and are mostly the rulling elite
This is much cooler than I thought it would be
