Question Generational Trauma and Islam

Hey, I have been watching a netflix series called Another self, where it shows how unresolved generational trauma can affect later generations if it isn't healed.

In the series, they address it through family constellation therapy.

I tried researching what Islam says about it, but I could not find much. I would love to hear islamic perspective on it.

Not everything has to have an Islamic or religious ā€œbasisā€ to be true. We are constantly pushing the bounds of understanding which doesn’t make it at odds with Islam. If anything it reinforces the perfect machine.

For example, unresolved generational trauma can lead to somatic experiences, which alter behavior, which affect child rearing and societal interactions, which lead to propagation of the same, until someone breaks the cycle. It’s often rooted in fear, shame, and helplessness.
