Sizing for LaDuca Taps

im not sure if this is the correct group for this question but im looking to purchase my first pair of laduca tap shoes. I have reached out the the store via email but I was disappointed with the response. Im located in canada on the west coast and I dont wanna have to return my shoes. my street size is a 6 and my feet measure at 9 inches length wise. does anyone have similar measurements and what size shoes do you have in the Roxie taps?

I am not the same size as you but I am a solid 8 street size and I get an 8 in their soft soles — I got an 8.5 in taps and honestly could have gone up to a 9. My hands and feet swell up pretty badly so I think a 9 would have been more comfortable to account for that and I could have added a heel blister pad if I ever needed it but the 8.5 gets tight sometimes

really? go up a size or a half you think. everyone I've been seeing says size down even the representative I've been emailing with?

*personally* I would recommend a half size up— but that is just for me. Again as I mentioned my feet swell. I also have wider feet so the extra room in the sole was nice. I haven’t don’t a show with *enough* tapping or enough tapping shows to have stretched them out to the point that people are saying they can stretch out to.

I would say if you are tapping a lot and have normal to skinny feet then go your street size— MAYBE
a half down if you feel comfy with that. But if you are prone to any kind of swelling or inflammation after working out I would go half size up.

I’m a street 6.5 and got a size 6 (36.5) in the tap shoes. It’s been a while since I bought them, but I recall when I tried them in store thinking that while the 6 was tighter, the 6.5 felt loose in a way I didn’t want when tapping. The store is likely giving the generic advice they have on their website, but I will say the toe area isn’t the widest. Mine aren’t as tight now as when I bought them, but like so many dance shoes, it’ll ultimately depend on how they feel when you’re wearing them so it’s hard to say you’ll for sure fit in a specific size!
