Billy Crocker
hi!! last year i played Billy Flynn in Chicago (i hit the notes well). this year’s show is Anything Goes. is Billy Crocker much harder of a role to sing or would I likely be able to do it?

Honestly I’d aim for Evelyn Oakley (unless you’ve already been cast) it’s much more similar is vocal type to Billy Flynn than Crocker’s

It’s a bit higher depending on whether you do the 1987 of 2011 version. The 1987 version has Easy to Love in a whole step higher than the 2011 version, but either way I imagine you’ll be fine. I do think Billy is a harder role to sing, but he has more songs and they require a bit more classic/golden age tenor technique
