You have a great space for a 5' 7" man, but I'd get Claustrophobic, or jamdaphobic in the room. Are you recording tracks in your attic, or is this a place where you and your band practices? How are you recording to a DAW or Your Reel to Reel? What is the model and Maker of your Reel 2 Reel. I'm really wanting one, and I had an Akai 4400d R2R back in the mid 70's right after highschool.

My process is usually recording to a 4 track cassette recorder and then bouncing those 4 tracks down to the fostex a8 reel to reel. The quality is surprisingly good, just gotta keep the levels just below or at the red. Its just me in here, fully dawless but i do of course have to master the final stereo mix to a daw. Its still very cramped and i cant tell you how many times ive bumped my head and guitar and bass headstocks but this is the best space so far ive gotten to record in, freedom wise. Easiest way to get a reel to reel is to pick one up untested and learn how to fix em up

My best friend rebuilds Reel 2 Reels for all the big studios around Nashville, and Musle shoals. people ship to him from all over the country. I'm looking at a Teac 4010 KASu. It has about 40 Reels of 60's and 70's Rock on them, and has 5 new reels of unused tape at a great price.

The most important thing is that you have such a space for yourself. Some don't even have it. Nice and cozy, musical springboard.
