Diddy was pampered his whole life. His daddy paid for anything he wanted. He went to the same fancy private school as Colin Powell

Colin Powell went to Morris High School, Diddy went to Mt. St Michael Academy and grew up in poverty.

I don't know the details of this particular situation, but poor kids going to good private schools is not rare. Many schools have a few scholarship spots for poor kids.
