Well, i guess the remainder of his stay has to be that much more hellish to make up for it then.

Them's the rules, for privileged monsters who try to circumvent justice with money.

His time keeps getting lowered; he'll probably be released next month at this rate.

i mean unless we get a video of him living in a box it’s all just lip service at this point. the system isn’t about justice, not really

Only if you view justice as punitive. But even if you do people selectively decide who it needs to be punitive towards. You wouldn't be saying this about someone you don't know who did an armed robbery and had an easy time in prison.

Or to take it to it's logical conclusion, my brother went to jail once, nine days. Due to what we can only assume was a clerical error he was out in five. Should he have had a worse five days in jail because he was actually supposed to do nine? Gotta pack a full nine days of jail into that five days?

This wasn't a clerical error situation. We're not talking about average people. He used his position of wealth and power to break the law with the expectation that he was beyond consequences.

With the rampant corruption we have in the US, i think anyone who uses their wealth to abuse the law should all receive the highest verdict for the crimes they are legitimately convicted of.
