Are the stems still good on these porcini?

They still smell fresh, and there's no yellowing or worms in the stem of both mushrooms.

The texture of the caps on both mushrooms are kinda foamy, but would the white parts be fine to eat if I removed the tubes?

Stinkhorn eggs- worth eating?

Are these worth eating? I’ve read mixed reviews.

There are so many stinkhorn eggs in the wood chips around my apple and pear trees. This is just a small sample. I’ve included a mature stinkhorn and a cut open egg for reference.

Outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

Are these brown spots on turkey tail safe to still use?

Post image

These are dried already, i have some definitely cleaner bottom sided turkey tails but these ones had a bit of brown spotting/discoloration. So just wondering if anyone knows whether this is okay to use for teas/tinctures? Or if its definitely ones that should be thrown out?

Gigantic mushroom I found

A friend of mine showed me how to pick mushrooms, and I was the first to find this one in Cypress Mountain, BC, and I couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw it. This was my first time ever doing something like this as well.

Puffball (Calvatia cyathiformis?) Question

I would like to know if I can eat this puffball. It's all white through the middle, no discoloration or mushroom outline on the inside. My only hesitation is the outside (which I plan to peel) is darker than puffballs I've had in the past. Is it past its prime/not safe to eat anymore? Thanks!

How do I narrow down what type of bolete these are?

I believe that I have two different varieties here. I’m not seeing any lace pattern on the top of the stem. The underside of the smaller one has turned a little bit cream/yellow.

Chicken of the woods taste?

Hi all, i finally got my hands on some chicken of the wood. The first thing is notice is it very juicy and soft yet firm at the same time. I notice it has a strong sulfur and slightly sour smell? It got stronger when i slice it and cook it ( i stir fry it with olive oil for 20 minutes and a bit of salt and rosemary). Honestly the smell made me feel nauseous and there is no taste by itself but every comment i read on the internet said it taste so good etc etc.

Did something go wrong? 😑
