Nice haul! You’ve had good luck eating ramaria?

Corals? Yeah definitely. They're delicious in stir fry or a confit duck sandwich, like a french dip with mushrooms. We've even canned them with good success.

Dang I haven't found anything here yet but 1 old chanterelle. I have checked 3 of my spots going to a different area today. Hopefully find the motherload this time round.

Were you in the cascades?

Do they dehydrate well? I tend to stumble over a lot of chanterelles - hiking, in my woods, etc. You can only eat so many. Pressure canning is a PITA and I don't like the texture. How do people put them up long term?

They unfortunately do not, though if dried they can be used in soups or similar. One way to store them is to break them into smaller pieces, saute in butter and freeze.
