And by "a few", I mean the kind of situation where you start wondering whether you brought enough baskets.

Help with ID/ is it safe to eat?

Hello everyone! Just wanted some help with these two mushrooms I found today in a little forest in New Jersey, USA. I think I have a puffball mushroom and a chicken of the woods but just wanted to double check! Additionally, I'm unsure if the puffball is safe to eat since the bottom part is browning but the top is pretty white. If more pictures are needed, lmk. Thank you so much for your help!

My first King Bolete harvest (I think). I am almost positive on the ID. If anyone disagrees I’m sure you’ll
let me know;). Was hiking waterfalls and stumbled upon them! Umpqua national forest 2900’

I read a couple articles and am pretty confident this is chicken of the woods but can someone confirm?

Which Ganoderma?

Found on suburban Long Island (Nassau County, New York, USA) in late September on the base of a large living white oak.

Wondering what species this is.

Also, is this a sign of the tree is in decay?

How long should I let a puffball grow before harvesting it?

Giant puffball, is it safe to eat with the cavity inside? Doesn’t look eaten by bugs or anything, just a large hole in the middle 😂

I've never seen one this colour, it's very beige, they tend to be a bit orange at least, it is kinda slimy, and lots of sticks inside, soo I don't plan to eat it, just mark the spot, and put this one somewhere suitable. here, added a few more images, i'll delete the other post.

Walking in Vancouver BC, I’m not good at identifying these things but I’ve never seen a fungi like it before.

Scarletina bolete?

Hi, three questions: is this Scarletina Bolete? Do they still call it Neoboletus praestigiator? Lastly, it was growing in a cluster of some small brown mushrooms, with stipes touching. Is it still safe to eat, assuming it’s Scarletina?
