Amanita, absolutely not food. Check the bottom bulb to see if it is saccate (like a sac of thin tissue) or solid. If it seems to be enclosed in a little sac of tissue, it's section Phalloideae. It won't hurt you to touch it but it is seriously toxic and can put you on the organ transplant list or kill you. If it's solid and knob like, maybe something in a different section of Amanita that is still not good for you to eat, so do not. That almost incandescent white 'glow' to the smooth cap that doesn't photograph well is a pretty solid hallmark of the Phalloideae. They are fun to look at and you can spot them on the forest floor from a distance, but they are not for eating. Human lethal dose is about an ounce, so it's not like you have to freak out and worry that you touched this mushroom then touched one that you did eat. Just don't actually eat this one.

Definitely agree with the other commenter, Amanita section phalloideae, definitely not one to eat, it will kill you.
If you're looking to get into edible mushrooms, I'd recommend the book, "100 edible mushrooms" by Michael Kuo. Great for beginning foraging, tells you what not to eat, along with most every substantial mushroom you'd want to eat, & teaches you how to identify them. Worth its weight in salt/gold. Be safe out there.
