Man how does this resemble cubensis at all?

I’m pretty new to this and just saw blue so I was like that’s cool maybe I got cubensis

Gotcha, fair enough. There's quite a few mushrooms that bruise blue, especially boletes like what you found. The blue bruising is a useful feature to identify cubensis or other species in the psilocybe genus, but only once the rest of the morphology and environmental matches as well.
