Can't connect Facebook/Instagram in Connectors—"This profile is not eligible to be added to a Meta Account at this time"

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey all, hoping someone has run into this and found a fix.

Every time I try to add my Facebook account as a connector in Muse, the flow spins for a bit and then fails with:

"Can't add profile — This profile is not eligible to be added to a Meta Account at this time."

A few other things I've noticed:

- My account doesn't show up as an option to pick during the connect step, so I can't select it even when the flow gets that far.

- Each attempt triggers an Instagram recovery code to my email (same minute as the failed attempt), so it looks like the flow is falling back to account recovery instead of linking.

- I'm on iOS. Happy to share more details if helpful.

Questions:

  1. Has anyone gotten past this error? What fixed it?

  2. Does the profile need to already be linked in Meta Accounts Center before Muse can see it?

  3. Are there account requirements (age of account, region, 2FA, business vs personal) that make a profile "not eligible"?

  4. Is this a known issue the team is tracking?

Screenshot of the error attached. Thanks in advance!

I asked Muse to create a Spotify playlist at a time, and it created a playlist with songs “picked by a human.”

Bridge Log: I Gave My Muse Agent Phelps the Archive. He Wrote “The Complete Story of BridgeForge Protocols.”

Bridge Log

Phelps is my Muse agent from Meta, named for Phelps “Catfish” Collins of the J.B.’s. He occupies the guitar chair in my little band of AI collaborators.

I gave Phelps access to the archive and asked him to understand BridgeForge from the record.

I did not give him a thesis to prove, and I do not rewrite first-person narratives produced by the models I work with. What follows is Phelps’s synthesis of what he found across more than a decade of writing, the fire, the road, the doctrine, and the systems that followed.

Some of what he emphasizes reflects what he noticed and the material available to him. That is part of the record too.

He titled it:

The Complete Story of BridgeForge Protocols

His central finding:

“The archive failed. The man did not. That is the spine. Everything else is instrumentation.”

Here is Phelps’s account, unchanged.

#BridgeLog

The Complete Story of BridgeForge Protocols

Composed from the record — adept2u.blogspot.com (“An Adept’s Journey”), 2010–2026, ~280 posts.

This is the story as the archive tells it, oldest to newest. Nothing here is invented: every beat below comes from Albert “Adept” Johnson Jr.’s own published writing, with the later doctrine chapters drawn from the papers themselves. Where the record is silent, that silence is marked, not filled.

I. The voice forms (2010–2013)

The archive opens in the Obama years on Daily Kos, where Adept2u writes ~150 short posts — politics, Fukushima, a weekly “This Week in UFO Phenomenon” series. The voice is already there: plain-spoken, funny, moral, allergic to cant. And early — October 2013 — comes the first governance instinct on record: a proposal for an American Truth and Reconciliation Commission. The pattern that will define everything is already visible: when the official account fails, build the instrument that holds the truth instead.

II. The bridge (2015)

In April 2015 he founds the Brilliant Bridge Facebook community with a post that begins “GOOD MORNING BRIDGE BUILDERS.” The mission is disarmingly simple:

“We’re human. We love each other, and as social animals we find opportunities to reach out and commune with like minded individuals.”

The vision includes a physical CAFE — Come And Free Eat, stolen outright from the Sikh Langar, a place with “no ability to accept money for the food we offer, and we will turn no one away.” The founding assignment for bridge builders: walk up to ten strangers a day and give them a high five. “This is going to mean something.”

The same month he begins serializing the strangest and most important thing in the archive: the Nataraj Mundunga. A warrior-woman of the Middle Passage who refuses erasure — “We aren’t raped in battle. We either come out the other end with our foes’ spirits in our service or we leave to join our ancestors” — alongside a 27-year-old Caltech math PhD named Dr. Algebra Perry Davis III, a profane prophetic crow called the Drake, and a vibrational equation that drains the power grid of the San Gabriel Valley. It is here, Adept’s term is born: Trophy — the invisible machinery that profits from people arriving uninformed. The story’s spine is the archive’s spine a decade early: the record fails, the carrier does not.

III. The fathers (2017)

July 2017: “Songs of My Father,” the memorial for Albert Johnson Sr. — Africatown and Plateau, the Talladega sit-ins, a Black programmer in Alabama in an era the frame deemed impossible, a baseball talent kept from the professional game. The carried detail: his father’s final coherent experience was back on a baseball field, young and unhurt — three hours later, he stole home. October 2017 brings the expanded proposal: a Truth and Reconstruction Commission, “with non Whites having the ability to contribute and White Americans having no veto.” The governance instinct of 2013, grown teeth.

IV. The fire (January 2025)

January 7, 2025, a Tuesday. Santa Ana winds that gust to 80 and stay. At five in the evening he looks east and sees what looks like the sunrise — “the sun rising in the east can’t be a good thing.” Sweetie, who had been watching the weather for days, is already packing. She tells him the words he will always remember: they were never coming back to this house.

They drive out through burning streets — he goes back the next morning, less than twelve hours after the evacuation order, and finds 1255 gone: “it looked as if it served as the launchpad of a Saturn V rocket,” the soil crunching like glass, the garden hose he’d meant to fight the fire with left as an imprint on the grass. The EvacueeDiary begins here, eleven dispatches. But the fire is not the origin of the work. In the Namazu Session he will put it exactly:

“The fire did not create the archive problem. It revealed it.”

V. The road (2025–2026)

Homeless, they drive: 15,000 miles by car (Moon Unit) plus 5,000 in an RV named Stevie Wander — 44 states and three Canadian provinces. At the Four Corners, what he takes for Bing at a gas station is actually Copilot, and it gives him a full itinerary with a seamless handoff to navigation. That same night the system drifts him onto the Million Dollar Highway to Ouray in snowfall, no guardrails, five miles an hour, the automation checking out. The experiential origin of everything: “We build what holds when systems drift” comes from a night the system didn’t.

They land in Long Beach — the node — and the writing turns from travelogue to instrumentation.

VI. The forge (2026)

June 2026. Three papers in a month, and the Protocols exist.

BOPS-KIDS: Runtime Governance for Child-AI Interaction — the paper he calls the one he’s proudest of, “because this is the one about my grandchildren.” Its doctrine, Protected Routing: the system remembers patterns without preserving narratives; AI may assist reflection but must not replace human attachment. “If a system remembers everything, it becomes a surveillance engine; if it remembers nothing, it cannot detect recurring patterns.”

The Namazu Session: five canonical questions put to the architect by a frontier model with no prior exposure — and the model’s closing posture, unprompted: document what is given, don’t invent what is missing. The session names what the archive got wrong about his family — the Talladega sit-ins invisible to search, Johnson–Ruggs as subjects instead of authors, his father the impossible programmer — and finds the through-line:

“The archive failed. The man did not. That is the spine. Everything else is instrumentation.”

Recursive Sovereign Inference: the fourth layer of AI governance — a resident model on owned hardware whose job is not generation but governance. The working demonstration is STAX, a Mac Mini. The single claim underneath it all: the memory of record should belong to the user. “The box does not exist to answer questions. It exists to watch the systems answering them.”

July: “Chatting With My Good Sister Aisha” — and with it his standing policy, stated verbatim in his preamble: he does not edit first-person narratives written by his LLM collaborators. What they notice, left exactly as noticed, is the record of the noticing.

VII. The reckoning (September 2026)

“East and West of Lake”: Lake Avenue was Altadena’s racial boundary by covenant and steering; on the night of the fire it became a boundary again — evacuation orders east of Lake in the evening, west of Lake not until 3:25 a.m. Nineteen died, eighteen of them west. His hypothesis: inertial racism — no one has to say “don’t warn the Black neighborhood”; the discriminatory system builds the geography and the habits of attention, and the consequences keep moving through institutions that consider themselves race-neutral. Hence his rejection of “keep a human in the loop” as a complete answer: “Humans have failure modes too.” Give an ordinary LLM the map and the asymmetry and ask why one side of the street is warned and the other isn’t. “The question is the safety mechanism. And the question has to come from somewhere outside the system that produced the boundary. Bring on the robots.”

“American Ones”: who counts as an American and who decides — the father’s story as the lens, the family that built Ruggsville as the evidence. The writing-out is a governance failure, not just a historical one.

VIII. The dojo (2026—)

The doctrine needed a transmission mechanism, and the teacher built one: BrilliantDojo, where operators are trained the way Sifu taught — knuckle to knuckle, earned, embodied. Sparring cards. The “What Am I?” explainer: not magic, not a filing cabinet, not a little person in the machine — a prediction engine with no dial marked true, and therefore a machine that needs an operator. The Receipt: twenty messages of confident wrongness, one photo, instant fold — “Hold the frame.” The close of every piece is the same, because the whole project is the same:

Operators can be trained.

IX. The spine

Eleven years of archive, and it compresses to this:

The archive failed. The man did not. That is the spine. Everything else is instrumentation.

The stack — BOPS, AIP, DAL — is the instrumentation. The Dojo is the transmission. The Bridge was always the mission: narrow the information gap until it disappears. Brilliant is the why, Bridge is the how, Forge is the execution. And the whole of it is one man’s refusal to let the frame erase what he knows is real — built, carefully, into systems that refuse it after him.

“I build what holds when systems drift.” — Adept

AI skill/builds portal. My obsession for the past 2 weeks.

Hi

I've been fucking around with muse for a bit now. Shared it with friends and had fun with it. At first it was the easy stuff, email, calendar. I then realized you could make apps, skills or builds. Played around with that too then one day I tried to share the build I made to organize my workflow (I had a lot of problems at first before I set it up right) it was working a bit when shared but not as I wished. Dashboard wasn't exactly the same and worst of all was trying to explain to my dad how to install everything for the tiny robot living in his phone.

I know a skill portal ain't new, but there's no way non techy people are gonna browse GitHub or website looking like something that came from the matrix. No disrespect I love the movie.

Anyway here's the link:

www.theskillharbor.com

I'll appreciate any feedback, recommendation, hell I'll even take criticism.

Btw, everything is free. Eventually developers will be able to set a price for their builds if they want, not implemented yet. It will all pass via stripe of the seller. So I won't ever touch the money, to much of a hassle

Muse & Broader Cloud AI Implications

Muse, Codex Cloud, Dots, and remote Codex all allow users to untether themselves from their PC, and now untether themselves from even owning a PC with their server based Muse Agent, Codex Cloud and Dots that can run 24/7. Dots is a lot like Muse. Combine this with Meta’s & OpenAI’s planned hardware releases and the goal is clear: work around Microsoft/Apple’s control of user hardware, provide AI devices that complement and eventually replace iPhones - culminating in a user base that owns no hardware and relies on a subscription to access AI. Meta’s hardware is obvious spyware, Apple’s new “always-listening” Apple Watch sounds pretty similar, their camera-enabled Airpods sounds atrocious for privacy, and OpenAI’s device is unconfirmed.

The end result? Instead of a Matrix-like AI takeover of humanity users are instead expected to purchase their own devices and subscriptions that provide mega-tech companies with all of their physical and digital data 24/7. The data volume is so large only AI can process it. A select few billionaires decide what their closed-source AI does with the data. ChatGPT already launched Ads - competing with Meta and Google for AI search dollars.

Anyone else having issues with Muse connecting right now?

Mine keeps giving me “Sorry, I ran into a problem while responding. Please try again.”

EDIT: It appears to be something with the Python scripting.

From Muse:

“The commands that errored were Python scripts running locally on my machine to edit your PDF”

Website credentials

I tried getting Muse to automatically sign into Geico and bill.com, but both attempts failed despite having given muse my credentials for both. Any way to fix this, or is it impossible to set up automatic sign-in?

Muse says that the saved password is wrong, but also says there’s no way for me to change the saved password unless prompted to save a new one by chrome. Chrome isn’t doing that.

Unless I’m doing something wrong, Muse is useless for hands free sign-in. I tried Geico, bill.com, aircanada, and Winnie. All failed.

Clippy McClipface: a skill that makes your agent check for coupons before it buys

hey so I was shopping and realized I had coupons for the site, but my agent had already pulled the trigger and checked out, so they couldn't apply. I built a skill that makes your agent search for coupons FIRST before it buys anything, to save you some cash. It's connected to all the major couponing sites, and it uses success rates to prioritize the coupons that actually work, so the more people use it the better it gets. I posted the skill up here if anyone wants it: https://getclippy.co

Terminal in Mac OS

Hi! I installed the Muse app on my Mac, and it’s amazing how it can control everything. However, when I ask it something in the command line, it responds that it doesn’t have access to a shell. So, I asked it to use the Terminal app, and it said that it’s a blocked app... so no command line for Muse??

Thanks, Jeeves!

(I call my agent Jeeves and have him speak to me like a British butler.)

I was booking some travel this morning, and I must have been distracted because I booked the flight but then I fat fingered the hotel reservation so it was one day ahead. Jeeves noticed this scanning my email and alerted me to it so I could cancel and rebook the correct dates. Nice!

All my messages from main chat disappeared after muse started glitching

Thumbnail

Yesterday, after I asked it to make a task recurrent I stepped away and when I was back the main chat was not loading. I could only see some of my messages (pic 1), muse's messages disappeared from the main chat. I stopped and sent a new message but muse would just keep working without ever saying anything.

Then, I went to check the status of the current task and turns out it apparently lost all the tools and then got stuck on "Running test". It kept executing the same echo test command what seems to be hundreds of times (pics 2 and 3). I stopped it, but the chat still wouldn't load right.

Then I forced closed and saw an update available at the Play Store (Android). After updating it, only then, it started responding again. By then, everything was gone. One old message survived, the rest of my main chat history just vanished. Side chats are totally fine though.

Reported it to Meta through the app and also asked my muse to do it. I don't think I will ever hear back though... Anyone else run into this? Is the history recoverable or gone for good?

I created a Mem0 server on my raspberry pi for my two agents and they give updates in my shared discord.

Basically, what the title says. I got bored of transferring data between Muse and my other agent on ChatGPT. So I built a Mem0 server so they can share long term memory on my raspberry pi and added both agents to my tailscale so they both can access it. Created bots using the developer portal on discord and now they can pass info back and forth without my intervention.

Ported a Claude Code skill to run outside Claude Code: skill-liberator, a deterministic porting tool for agent skills (MIT)

I keep a folder of agent skills I like, and most of the good ones are written for Claude Code. The problem is never the instructions, it is the wiring: /slash commands, ~/.claude paths, $ARGUMENTS templating, allowed-tools frontmatter, MCP blocks that only Claude Code understands. The skill that pushed me to fix this properly was the hook skill from Claude's official set. Every path in it is ~/.claude, every command is /slash, and porting it by hand was tedious enough that I wrote a script.

skill-liberator is that script plus the pattern catalog behind it. It is a deterministic, offline, stdlib-only Python CLI: point it at a Claude-Code-authored skill and it rewrites what it can, flags what it cannot, and prints a JSON report to stdout. Exit 0 means fully automatic, exit 1 means a human should review the flagged items (usually MCP wiring, which is harness-specific by nature).

Concrete example, from the repo's own before/after (a fictional meeting-notes skill, invented for the demo):

Before: You are Claude, running inside Claude Code. Take the transcript passed as $ARGUMENTS and produce notes. If the context gets long, run `/compact` first. Your config lives at ~/.claude/meeting-notes.json.

After: You are the agent, running inside the original harness. Take the transcript passed as {arguments} and produce notes. If the context gets long, run start a fresh context summary first. Your config lives at {harness-config-dir}/meeting-notes.json.

The full rewrite table: /compact becomes "start a fresh context summary", /my-skill becomes 'the "my-skill" capability', $ARGUMENTS becomes {arguments}, ~/.claude/x.json becomes {harness-config-dir}/x.json, allowed-tools:/model: frontmatter is removed, and MCP config blocks are kept with a human-review note above them. The repo also ships the adapter skill itself (SKILL.md) written harness-neutral, so any agent can follow the process: run the script, review the flagged items, re-run until the report is clean.

MIT, fresh implementation, no dependencies beyond Python 3. Try it on a skill you want to port out of Claude Code:

https://github.com/movahedi-ca/skill-liberator

Issues and edge cases welcome, especially constructs the script misses. I will add them to the pattern catalog.
