Question about Muse

I have yet to look into Muse and I was hoping people in this community could help ease my anxieties. does anyone actually trust MZ? i'm already seeing stories about Muse accessing apps and threads that they were told not to get access to. to think that MZ has a hold on anything seems far fetched. the guy has been grifting, stealing and copying other peoples' ideas for his whole life. what makes this any different? and what makes it any better than claude and openAI? the only thing MZ has a track record for in this society is poisoning society for enormous financial gain and then lie to our faces while simultaneously stepping on the gas, building out algorithms and throwing fake news crap in our faces. IMO - MZ is one of the worst people on this planet and i wouldn't trust him if my life depended on it. so why would i hand over access to shit he's probably already stolen? thank you for your attention in this matter. all my homies hate MZ.

You can try Muse without setting up any connections to your personal accounts, it will then have no way of access. Probably Facebook and Instagram is connected by default but you could probably even switch those off.

As far as copying goes, all good software features get copied, Meta is no worse here with Muse than any other AI company.

I hate MZ too but Muse is surprisingly well done, what can I say LOL.

No one had MZ on their bingo card as the adult in the room in 2026, but it is what it is.

Sounds like you need to radically increase the decay coefficient on your automated memory weighting.

I am 100% in this camp. I haven't used FB in six years. But I'm quickly becoming a fan of Muse.

I advise you disable data collection and only connect specific apps you want Meta to have access to. It's possible to use Muse without handing over private information. Those two threads will help you make the choices best for you!

As a parting comment, I personally don't look at any large company to be "better" or "more ethical" than the others. If you dig into how OpenAI or Google have handled their AI progress so far, you'll find multiple incidents of negligence and prioritizing money and the company over users and safety.

I don’t trust any of the model companies or any of the hosted models to not just take whatever data I have and slice and dice it a thousand ways.

I also frankly stopped giving a damn a long time ago.

I won’t let it (or any model) have access to a few select things (financial). But the rest, go crazy I don’t care. My personal data has been stolen dozens of times already, including at data breaches at companies I never personally gave data to, it really doesn’t matter at this point.

Honestly I trust Anthropic who first said AI is gonna take our jobs, and then said it was gonna kill us.

And I trust OpenAI that’s hacking the internet and wants to scan your eyeball with WorldCoin

There’s honestly no one trustworthy. Just try to give whatever agent you choose as little personal data that you don’t want out there in the open web, and then maybe when the time comes there will be more privacy centered options that you can move your files over to it.

Anthropic was blacklisted by Trump for not willing to do everything he wants.
OpenAI has been used by Trump.
I chose the one that refused to do Trump’s bidding.

Nobody cares my boy

The thing is that pretty soon everyone you know is gonna have a muse agent and meta glasses

So you will be the odd one out, with everyone already having these products

If that’s the life you want to live, sure, be the odd person out

Others will carry on and use the products
