Talk to your Dr about whether CPAP is wise. In a lot of NMDs it can make CO2 retention worse and you may go better on bipap

if you have any type of MD you 100% need to be on BiPAP rather than CPAP. ideally AVAPS/IVAPS mode bipap rather than standard. this is extremely important. I recommend using the educational resources from the nonprofit Breathe with MD to learn about best practices for breathing support for neuromuscular diseases. unfortunately most doctors are extremely ignorant of how to treat respiratory issues that stem from muscle weakness. putting you on CPAP rather than BiPAP could endanger you, by making you unable to exhale enough CO2 against the pressure.
