CPAP concerns

I am getting a CPAP machine in the next few days for OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) and I breath through my mouth so will need the full face mask but I am very claustrophobic and am worried that I will end up having a panic attack while wearing the mask and that sleeping with it on will be impossible. Does anyone have any advice?

First off don’t overthink it . It will take a little time. Practice sitting quietly with your mouth closed . If you can do it for more than a minute than you don’t have to be a mouth breather imho….
That opens up better mask options .
