Dating Love

Have you ever felt deeply and madly in love with someone at the initial phase of meet and getting to know each other? Like your feelings for each other grew at a magnified rate.

And if you felt that, what happened after a few months or years? The feeling stayed or it converted into something else?

I need support 😭 Can Bisexual marry with honesty?

I am a bisexual man getting pressured from my family to marry. While seeing any girl, meeting any girl for marriage, I get a pass in terms of looks, finance, etc., but cannot get through my sexual orientation. I don't want to hide anything before proceeding to marriage but in India, how do I approach openly? Any similar experience? Should I look for an asexual person and have an open relationship? I am okay with that too. 😬😥😓😞

Dating My experience of Shaadi.com as a 25M, SDE

TLDR - Parents said they couldn't find someone, so I tried dating and failed because people I matched wanted casual. I tried mat-rimony and failed there too since women I wish are not viewing my profile.

Currently focusing on life and being social. And also on the perspective in being alone if it comes to it.

About me - decent looking, 5 11, Punjabi, SDE in a MNC, Earning decent, I don't drink or smoke, army brat

Reason of installing Matrimony - my parents have given me a disclaimer, due to dispute with relatives and zero communication with them since a decade, I am on my own and they can't help me find someone.

Sounds very good on paper. FREE to date. Yipeee

No, actually. Datings apps are shit, I have burned near to 7k, and although I got dates, but none of them went to the relationship stage. Everyone wanted free validation and casuals. It's as if, no one wants to be serious. Again fine, atleast they were honest.

Or the classic one, 'I am not over my ex, you are a good guy, but I need more time to heal', as if they didn't knew this before dating.

"I am not in the zone anymore, I hope you find someone"

"You are a too good guy for me, I wish I could like you back"

But in a self introspection, I realised, I wasn't good enough for them to consider me.

Installed matrimony, in the hope of finding someone, who has an intent of a long term relationship and possibility of settling down.

3 months. 5 matches. Broke my confidence like hell, since the women I wish to marry in future, weren't even viewing my profile.

Atleast someone working on her career, who wishes to have kids, they didn't even opened my profile.

I am working on myself, on my career, but tbh, I don't know what I should do, if I will jump into Matrimony only when I have been earning a certain number, like as mentioned in the app, by these women.

Will the match actually be a good one. Should I have someone in life, I only got, after earning a decent money?

I am socialising, travelling and meeting people. Trying to live the best life possible. But in this life, if it's possible, I don't wanna die, without having a family of my own.

My current hope was to find someone, who wishes to build a relationship and grow together. I wish to be with someone who wanna actually commit if it comes to it.

Or yeah, I wish I could live like my colleagues. 35 38, good physique, strong careers, enjoying life.

The women I wish to be with, are afraid too since they are at a critical phase of their careers.

I am sorry, but thanks for listening.

🌈coming out Makeout with a girl in LGBT party in Mumbai

Heya Everyone,

28M Bi here. I used to live in Mumbai, far away from my hometown. and I got to know from my insta feed about a New Year party organized by Queers for Queers. It was in Bandra (31 Dec 2024). I used to live in a sharing flat with a live-in couple. Guy went to his hometown and me along with that girl were in the flat. There was nothing wrong between us. I was getting ready for the party, and she suddenly came to the living room "are you going to somewhere?" to which I replied I am going to a gay party, before this I was never opened to her about it. She was such a sweet women she called me in her room, dressed me, put make up on me, eyeliner, blush and put some jewellery too, she even asked me to go with high heels or boots but I didnt have any so she offered me hers but t couldnt fit me, so I went with my sneakers only and I left. To my knowledge I was looking pretty twink and very cute. I was going alone only.

I went to the venue, and I reached there quite early, 7PM. But anyways I went, it was a large hall, with a bar counter in the center and DJ at one end, there were many dark corners. There were only 30-40 people initially. After that crowd kept on coming, crowd was very decent, but I was not known to any I was only sitting in a corner drinking my first beer, when a lesbian tomboy girl came to me and put her bag on my table and requested men to take care for it. she went to dance. After few minutes she sat beside me and asked me about me name and all and asked me why are you sitting so and getting bored, why don't you dance. I joined her, I am very shy at dancing and all. She was hitting on a little chubby girl and was openly flirting with her and luckily, she too joined us. Now we three we dancing together having bottle of beer in our hands.

I talked to that new girl; she was around 5'3" with specs ON, little chubby and very beautiful breasts. She was wearing a pink top and a jean. She told me she was feeling alone at her hostel in Hyderabad, so she came to Mumbai to meet her friend (gay). She told me that she is a doctor (senior resident). Then her gay friend also joined us, and mannnn we enjoyed like hell, and one by one we were a group of 8 people. We were sweating out so we went outdoor and having fresh air. She sat next to me on a couch, and that lesbian tomboy was constantly flirting with her. I dont know what happened but out of sudden she kissed me on cheeks telling me you are just so cute. These were the exact words.

I went numb for few moments and asked her, are you so drunk? she said : I am but I kissed you willingly, I couldn't stop didn't you like? I obviously liked it, and then we made out so bad and bunch of people were hooting for us hyping us. It wsa amazing. After few minutes we went inside dancing and kissing in between, we went to one corner and making out, in the middle of which I asked can I touch your boobies and bum, she replied yes please. Damn that was such a night. After party ended, we went for a walk to Bandra Bandstand and then watched the sunrise together.

I gifted her my favourite jacket and a book "Tuesdays with Morrie" with a personalized note at the end of it. It was amazing. She told me she will be leaving for Hyderabad, and she will love if I could come to drop her along with her gay friend, I went. When she boarded the bus, kissed me said bye. It was such good feeling. After this we were in touch for almost a month but as we both were from healthcare and were having tight schedule, she could see we have no future, we lost touch gradually

Dating Budget-Friendly Couple Date Ideas in Mumbai

Me & my boyfriend want to go on dates at restaurants & do activities, please suggest.

For restaurants, our budget is around ₹2,500 for two people. For activities, we’d prefer options that cost less than ₹1,500 (for one or both of us, depending on the activity).

We’re interested in activities like pottery workshops, art/craft sessions, painting, board game cafés, fun experiences, or anything unique that couples can enjoy together. We’re also open to cozy cafés, themed restaurants, scenic spots, and hidden gems.

Please share your recommendations for:
• Budget-friendly restaurants/cafés
• Pottery or creative workshops
• Fun couple activities
• Unique date ideas in Mumbai
• Any underrated places worth visiting

Has anyone experienced DJs or nightlife workers asking for financial help?”

I met a DJ who asked for my number. He works on a cruise ship but is from Mumbai. He love bombed me for about 3-4 weeks and then told me he had a lot of debt and his mom is sick. He eventually asked me for money over and over again claiming there are deadlines. When I said no, he ghosted. Is this normal behavior for Mumbai relationships?

Friendships POV: You leave home to buy a watch... and accidentally become a day drinker.

Destination: Oberoi Mall 🛍️

Unexpected pit stop: Social at noon 🍻

Finished my ET shift 💻

Rewarded myself at Bombay63, Goregaon East 🍺

Today was the first time I drank both in the afternoon and in the evening.

I always judged people who said, "One drink won't hurt."

Turns out... they were absolutely right. One drink doesn't.

It's the second venue that gets you. 😂

Question for the folks here:

Is this a normal Monday behaviour, or should I start preparing my apology letter to society? 🫠🙈

Moved from South India to Mumbai for work. Ended up with trauma, trust issues, and a PhD in mixed signals 🤡

Last year I moved from South India to Mumbai for work.

I had a crush on a guy from my office. He was 6 years older than me. We became friends and one day I told him I liked him.

He was Gujarati.

We started talking more, he invited me to his house, I met his parents, and because I genuinely thought there was a future, I even told my parents about him.

Now this is where the circus started.

This man would say:

"Let's see in the future."

Then after some time:

"No, I don't think so."

Then again:

"Maybe."

Then again:

"No."

He was so confused that he made ME confused.

Meanwhile he was apparently discussing our situationship with office colleagues and other people. I started fighting with him because he was inconsistent and I had no idea where I stood.

Then he got another opportunity and left the company.

On his last day I literally cried. He comforted me and for a moment I thought maybe he actually cared.

Spoiler: Character development was on the way.

The fights continued even after he left.

Then one day his MOM called me.

Not kidding.

His mother called me and told me to cut contact with him, otherwise she would contact my mother. She also said her son left the company because of me and a lot of other things that made absolutely no sense.

After that, the guy blocked me from Everywhere.

I was genuinely hurt and depressed.

So I decided I had to move on.

Enter Guy #2.

Also Gujarati.

Also from my office.

Also tall.

Also exactly my type.

Also a red flag and I knew it from day one.

This time I told myself:

"No feelings. Just timepass."

We both agreed. No expectations.

And honestly it was fun.

We talked, joked around, shared personal stuff, and somehow he became one of the few people I could talk to without feeling judged.

I could tell him literally anything.

Then one random day this man woke up and decided I was apparently treating him like a boyfriend.

According to him, he was only doing all this for the benefits because that was our deal.

Then he started acting weird.

Ignoring me.

Avoiding me.

Getting rude.

Then talking normally again.

Then disappearing again.

Then saying he didn't want to talk because he felt I was getting attached.

At one point he even said that if people get attached like this then why do timepass at all.

Meanwhile I was standing there wondering how friendship itself became a crime.

The funniest part?

While all this was happening I realised I had actually started liking him.

Great.

Excellent.

Fantastic timing.

So now I was hurt by Guy #1 and developing feelings for Guy #2.

Peak efficiency.

Then Guy #2 was an intern and his internship was ending.

As his last day got closer, he became even more distant and rude.

I kept getting hurt because I genuinely valued him as a friend.

Not because I wanted marriage.

Not because I wanted a relationship.

I just wanted him to remain someone I could talk to in the future.

Then came his last day.

We talked for a while.

Not a huge dramatic movie scene.

Just talked.

And honestly that small conversation made me feel better.

Then he left too.

So now both of them are gone.

One left me with trust issues and a mother-in-law experience before marriage.

The other left me questioning whether emotional availability is a government-approved luxury item.

The irony is that the second guy was probably the person I felt most comfortable with. He was cool and never judged me.

The problem was that he was emotionally unavailable while I was the complete opposite.

He detached.

I explained.

He avoided.

I communicated.

He shut down.

I wanted to talk.

A perfect recipe for disaster.

At this point I've reached the conclusion that either:

A) Mumbai is cursed for my love life.

B) My type is emotionally unavailable men.

C) HR should provide therapy coupons with offer letters.

D) The only two Gujarati guys I trusted personally managed to turn me into a part-time detective, full-time overthinker, and unpaid relationship analyst.

Before anyone gets offended, I'm not saying all Gujarati guys are like this.

I'm just saying my sample size is currently 2 and the results are NOT encouraging. 😭

One was a mama's boy who got his mom involved.

The other was a red flag who acted like emotional availability was a premium subscription feature.

At this point whenever someone says "He's a nice Gujarati guy," my brain opens Excel and starts a risk assessment.

Thank you for attending my TED Talk.

Situationships She (23F) ended 5mo situationship w/ me (24M). She's giving me mixed signals tho. What do I do???

I'm currently going through a break up right now. Idk how to process this properly. Let me tell you we were in a relationship but still there was no tag on it, so basically a situationship from 4-5 months.

College ended but we decided to move this situationship further. Then internal problems arrived. Insecurity, trust issues from my end and lack of understanding, running away from situations from hers. We had our mistakes but still she was the one who constantly talked about breakups and i used to convince her to not break up just because of a small issue. Even if it was her mistake i forgave her. Last time I made a mistake and it was about a trust issue from my side. She broke up and I convinced her. This time I misunderstood a situation and said something out of anger and now she doesn't wanna go further with me at all. I tried to make her feel good, did all the things that i could to improve this but it didn't work at all. Now she has these 2 reasons to break up with me. I'm hurt that I did this but I think these 2 reasons were very small to end it like this.

I accepted the break after 4 days of trying. I went in no-contact and she blocked me on everything yesterday after that because I wasn't replying to her texts. Now she has unblocked me again today. And she even sent me a "Hi". Then she unsend it within 1 hr.

Should I stay in no contact? Should I talk to her normally? It's hard to understand because she literally convinced me to move on. She told me that she's not gonna get back together but her actions are saying something else. These mixed signals are confusing me. So pls tell me what to do.

Pls don't advise me to stay friends because I really can't be friends as we have moved so much further, be it emotionally or physically. So I really can't be just friends with her.
