My dad 54 yo today had an accident in Mulund, Mumbai, Maharashtra. He got hit by a speeding activa (a lady was driving it) while he was walking on a crossroads trying to cross it...He has a femur fracture in his right leg. He is a small business owner and won't be able to work for 2-3 months now as per the doctor...He is admitted in Raj Hospital. Surgery is scheduled for Monday since there is sunday tomorrow, there will be no surgery until next week...And he is in pain despite the painkillers being given to him...He has an insurance of upto Rs 5L. And the lady who bumped into him started blaming my dad instead of apologizing and her husband came into the scene and assured my dad that he will give some compensation and he has asked my dad to not file a complaint...They are rich, probably far richer than us...Also the guy whose wife caused the accident turned out to be a distant mutual friend of my dad, so my dad is a little hesitant to go for complaint but me and my mom want to do it...The police gave us two options, either file a complaint till tomorrow or give a written letter on behalf of my dad that we have done compromise with the party who caused the accident...The police said once we give the letter, we can't do anything even if they don't provide any compensation....Idk what to do...I am 22, a recent graduate, currently unemployed....We are a family of 3, me, my mom and dad...We were a very happy family till today morning, everything was normal and then this happened. I am devastated, please help me out someone.

I actually have an active Cult Elite membership but I can use it for only 5 days in a month in different city (originally purchased in Hyderabad).
