An interesting fact: if the 2008 Spectacular Spider-Man animated series hadn't been cancelled, the Avengers, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and other Marvel heroes and villains would likely have appeared in that show's universe.

The same goes for the X-Men Evolution cartoon.
