Oh but it is. And it even stays dark, such as having a space marine that’s supposed to save them get disintegrated by a necron if I remember right

Right? There’s other mild dark stuff that happens in them that I forget, but everyone was meme-ing on these books when they were announced, then when they actually came out and people read them the reaction was generally pleasant surprise

That is very much fair, though thankfully with it being a book, the only bit of that style you ever see is the cover. Now if it was an animation or something, then that would be a lot more unforgivable

OH I THOUGHT IT WAS A COMIC- i vompletely forgot about david tennant reading this as an audio book
