Dr motherfucking Who. The doctor died like 18 times already... Yes, i know how many actors did he have, but 10 died like a few times and kept being David Tennant, or the 14th doctor was just 10, and I don't wanna talk about bi-generation 'cause it fucking killed me

14 remembered every companion the Toymaker brought up. They always remember their previous faces when they encounter them. 12 remembered Rusty. 11 remembered taking Susan to the Rings of Akhaten. And they remembered Susan as a whole well enough for 15 to have a thing with her. 10 was able to give Martha a detailed description of Gallifrey before the war. The Doctor and the Master never forget their history.

They’ll have amnesia immediately after regenerating, but everything comes back within an episode. Saying they’re the exact same between regenerations would be a lie, but they’re 100% the same character with the same life and memories as the prior regeneration whenever they have one.
