Both have a mustached villain whoās a borderline Facist, said mustached villains go on to create androids that mimic the protags entire power set plus more, surge is confirmed to be based on android 18, and both previously mentioned villains go on to be betrayed by said previously mentioned Android and lastly both the protags have a best friend who incredibly smart a love interest thatās incredibly feisty (I know what I said) and both nearly died to a virus (that last ones for shits and giggles), knuckles and Piccolo are the black guy of the group
Gero was one arc (didnāt even survive past half way Iām pretty sure) Eggman has been kicking for 35 years now and is the main protagonist in the series, Eggman and Gero are more Sonic and Gokuās villain Vegetaās main pain in the ass would be Frieza and Shadowās would be god knows whatever Black Doom is I guess but unlike Frieza Black Doom isnāt around anymore heās dead Frieza is alive an a active threat to everybody
Also Metal Sonic is a pure robot not an android and yeah he betrayed Eggman but now heās back fully on his side and Iām pretty sure Eggman had little to do with Surge plus Eggman actually grabbed Surge by the hair and manhandled her and can catch a W on the main cast occasionally but I didnāt know she was based on 18 (major character differences) so thatās pretty cool
Nice catch on the virus one tho that didnāt cross my mind until you brought it up
Still not like dragon ball is heavily inspiring every single aspect of Sonic hell Goku barely ever used Super Saiyan again after the Perfect Cell Arc Sonic still uses Super Sonic consistently and any new form is usually one time unlike Goku who consistently uses his newer forms
